Item Caracterización de un generador de flujo axial para aplicaciones en energía eólica(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica. Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2017) Claudio Medina, Cristian Ernesto; Mayorga Pardo, Alex SantiagoIn the present study, the performance and generation qualities of an axial flow generator were determined by checking the data with two types of coil connections. There are two configurations according to the layout of the poles, the so-called radial and axial flow, this study was based on the axial flow consisting of two configurations for the connection of coils were tested two generators one with coils in series and another in parallel, to determine the qualities of each. With the lower resistance configuration, maximum power was obtained of 282W for the generator of coils in series and of 39.4W in the generator of coils in parallel. The design is based on determination of magnetic flux, number of revolutions, number of poles, number of coils, output voltage, electrical losses and finally efficiencies. To obtain data, a test was performed, consisting of the location of the generators in a lathe using a flange to connect the rotors with the mandrel and with a perforated plate and centered for the counterpoint, at the outlet of the rectifier was connected a Rheostat in series to vary its resistance and thus to control the intensity in the circuit, were connected two multimeters one to measure the amperage and another one to measure the voltage. The data obtained were processed with electronic sheets based on the equivalence of the wind speed with the revolutions per minute for a better appreciation of the results. The efficiency achieved was 86.56% for the coil generator in parallel and 67.67% for the coil generator in series, this is due to its configuration, in the first case the electric resistance is very small, and in the second case is larger resulting in higher losses, but at the same time it was found that the generator of series coils has better qualities of generation than the generator of coils in parallel.
