Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2017) Castro Chico, Daniel Federico; Castro Miniguano, Christian ByronThe present study was based on the analysis of composite materials (roof and sides) and textile materials (seat covering and floor) used in the manufacture inside bus body to determine their mechanical properties, because the bus body each time must comply with more requirements for certification of its models, which makes it necessary to test and value the materials used in the construction of bus body, to ensure that materials are safe. For this purpose, the documentary and bibliographic research was carried out in order to establish the characteristics of the materials mentioned. The test specimens were then dimensioned according to the following standards: for composite materials (traction - ASTM D3039- 00, flexion - ASTM D7264-07 and impact - ASTM D5628-01) and textiles (traction - ASTM D5035-03). From the results of the tests could be determined mechanical properties that composite material have at tensile, flexural and impact and textile materials at tensile.
