Carrera Ingeniería Civil, 2025) Céspedes Barrera Joel Alexander; Soria Pugo María GabrielaThe main objective of this technical project is the optimization of the water transmission system and the design of a storage tank for the Junta Administradora de Agua Potable y Saneamiento Los Pinos (JAAPSLP), complying with current regulations and considering the topographic conditions of the study area. This project arises from the need to improve the current water transmission and storage system in order to provide an efficient service and enhance the quality of life for the users of JAAPSLP. The methodology was structured in three main phases. The first phase involved the delimitation of the study area and identification of the existing transmission network. To achieve this, a topographic survey was carried out, which was essential to understand the physical characteristics of the terrain. In the second phase, the necessary parameters for the design of the transmission network were calculated, including the selection and sizing of the pipeline, ensuring compliance with pressure and velocity requirements according to national and international standards. Additionally, improvements were proposed such as the design of a suspension bridge-type elevated crossing to allow the pipeline to cross the Patate River, as well as the implementation of a disinfection system and a water softening system, in order to ensure that the supplied water meets the required quality standards. In the final phase, the structural design of a 65-cubic-meter storage tank was developed, for which a geotechnical study was conducted to guarantee the safety of the structure. The results are reflected in the design of the transmission line, the proposed technical solutions for system optimization, and the design of the storage tank. Finally, a referential budget was prepared to ensure the feasibility of the project and contribute to the development of the Los Pinos community.
