Item Modelación numérica para determinación de la eficiencia de los sumideros de aguas lluvia tipo T45 en elevación y depresión de la vía, aplicando mecánica de fluidos computacionales(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2021-03) Acosta Escobar, Andrea Lizet; Paredes Cabezas, Anibal GeovannyThe present experimental work determines the hydraulic efficiency in the collection of rainwater in implanted drains in urban roads, adding new parameters with modifications such as elevation and depression of the T45 type grating. Based on previous research carried out in physical models in a 1:4 tested scale in the hydraulics laboratories of the Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Ambato, the flow values are obtained which will be entered in a fluid computational fluid dynamics software (CFD), in order to determine the efficiency of the drains with the new modifications, this program allows the simulation in three dimensions with real measurements of roadway and grating, 48 combinations are simulated with values of flow rates on a real scale, it is obtained: 16.91lt/s, 47.85lt/s, 79.75lt/s, 111.65lt/s, cross slope of 2 and 4 percent, longitudinal slope of 0.50, 4 and 12 percent are entered in the same way. The estimated simulation time for each of the 48 combinations is between 15 and 20 hours. The obtained results when carrying out the simulations indicate that the T45 type drains for the S2 model with modifications in elevation and depression have a higher hydraulic efficiency than the S1 model with modifications in elevation and depression, with the appropriate geometric conditions the S2 model can be used on urban roads to obtain a greater hydraulic uptake.
