Item Teletriage aplicado en pacientes sintomáticos respiratorios con sospecha de covid-19 en el período junio 2020-febrero 2021(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Medicina, 2021-06-01) Alvarez Guerrero, Daniel Alejandro; Recalde Navarrete, Ricardo Javier Dr. Esp.Introduction: The pandemic virus the COVID-19 has generated great interest in the medical staff focusing on clinical diagnosis; However, epidemiological characteristics and prognosis catastrophic lack of knowledge about the virus has forced doctors to change their ways of avoiding crowds consultation in health care. Today research progress in the modalities of ICT applied to medicine, is seen as an attractive and innovative alternative to help medical staff to provide quality health care and good response capacity. Objectives: To carry out a prospective analysis of the application of techniques teletriage in symptomatic patients with suspected respiratory COVID-19. Materials and Methods: This observational descriptive study cohort for periods include respiratory symptomatic patients for implementing surveys teletriage probability of developing the disease by COVID-19 and its efficacy in this group of people. Data were collected and tabulated statistically for a percentage analysis. Results: 33% of the group studied results without chance of infection COVID-19, 67% are moderately likely outcome for infection with this virus. With regard to the first, 100% were negative for virus infection; in the second group, 70% are positive for infection COVID-19, while 30% is negative in subsequent results. Conclusions: The application of techniques teletriage through virtual and subsequent surveys tracking proved beneficial to determine the likelihood of users of this service for the disease by the virus of the COVID-19 before the occurrence of symptoms suggestive respiratory pathology.Item Desarrollo de las plataformas digitales para la atención a la pandemia covid 19 en las comunidades(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-03-01) Catucuago Cuatucuago, Ana Gabriela; Quishpe Jara, Graciela de las Mercedes Lcda. Mg.Introduction: The pandemic generated by COVID-19 has highlighted the importance and usefulness of telemedicine, in contacting patients and health professionals, when in-person consultation is not possible, minimizing the risk of transmission, reducing the level of contagion and the health impact of vulnerable populations, so health care takes a new course, which provides multiple possibilities to increase health coverage. Objective: Analyze the use of digital platforms for better patient care in communities, with respect to SARS-COVID-2(COVID-19) pandemic. Methods: A descriptive narrative review was conducted through a search in articles published from December 2019 to November 2020, searching databases such as Medline, ClinicalKey, Pubmed, ProQuest, Scielo, Scholar Google, under the terms COVID-19, coronavirus, public health, telemedicine, virtual health platforms, written in English or Spanish. Conclusion: Digitized information has become an ally to combat the pandemic, in that it was possible to move from face-to-face care to telemedicine in a very short time, thus demonstrating the possibilities and advantages of the use of digital platforms in remote care, from development of new doctor-patient relationships to prevention of the spread of the virus.
