    The research aims to determine the relationship between Personality Traits and the Interpersonal Relationships of the students of the Technical University of Ambato Faculty Health Sciences Career of Clinical Psychology, who are the beneficiaries since the results show specific needs of the population. Personality traits are a set of cognitive and behavioral characteristics that are manifested in different situations and are present in every individual. The Millón Personality Inventory (MCMI-II) helps us to see behavioral patterns that excel in individuals. On the other hand Interpersonal Relationships are those interactions that describe the treatment, contact and communication that is established between two or more people in different circumstances. The Interpersonal Relations test helps us to evaluate different dimensions in which it allows us to define in which areas there is a deficit or difficulty, either at the group or individual level.

    The objective of the present investigation is to determine the relationship between the difficulties in the interpersonal relations and their influence in the cutting, in the adolescents belonging to the tenth years of basic education of the morning session of the National Educational Unit "Salcedo 'belonging to the canton Salcedo. The difficulty in interpersonal relationships focuses on the adolescent's way of acting in various situations that can be presented to him, at personal, family, social level, in the field of friends and peers. The evaluation will be done through the Questionnaire on Difficulties in Interpersonal Relationships in Adolescence, providing a global score and dimensions such as: assertion, relationships with people of other sex or with peers, public speaking and family relationships, in turn to The cutting was used the Self-injury Questionnaire providing a level, whether mild, moderate or severe.     The present investigation was to study the influence that maintain the interpersonal relationships in the assertiveness of persons with hearing deficit between the 18 and 25 years of age in the association of the deaf was established in the province of Tungurahua canton Ambato, the sample was composed of 30 people between the ages listed in where they were applied two psychometric test measurement, the first method used the template guide of interpretation 16 pf of Raymonds Cattell which assesses personality types but within the same there is a section to measure interpersonal relations and this is the section that we will take into account for the investigation, additionally continued with the implementation of the multidimensional scale of assertiveness (EMA) .After performing The evaluation found that interpersonal relationships if influence of positive and negative manner in the assertiveness of persons with hearing deficit. It was also found that people with hearing deficit prefer maintaining interpersonal relationships very closed, that is to say, their family or social circle is comprised of persons with the same hearing impairment as nuclear family, due to the fear of being rejected by the average listener and that is why wakes up its defense mechanism to preserve his ego by minimizing the social circle that could possess. On the other hand, the assertiveness was ambivalent, since it the people with a greater acceptance of the medium and with a broad social circle in their interpersonal relationships possessed a better assertiveness that people with hearing deficit that his social circle was more upscale and closed.
