Cl. Mg.The present investigation was designed to determine the relation between anxiety levels and coping responses in oncology patients at Dr. Julio Enrique Paredes C. Hospital Solca Oncology Unit Solca of the province of Tungurahua, was conformed of 100 postsurgical patients of the female gender with ages between 30 to 40 years. The reagents applied were Hamilton Anxiety Scale and the Coping Response Inventory for adults (CRI-A). It is worth mention that the levels of anxiety influence coping responses, establishing that the higher the level of anxiety the less the coping response and the lower the level of anxiety the greater the coping response, in addition, it was concluded that coping responses with more prevalence in cognitive coping is acceptance and resignation, as for the behavioral coping is the emotional discharge, both are avoidance strategies, in which they stay focused in an emotion and reflect cognitive and behavioral attempts to avoid thinking about a stressor and its implications, or to manage the effect associated with it.
