Every day and every five minutes, an infant dies because of such violence. That is why, it is reported to a mestizo pediatric patient, two years of age who enters the home with a diagnosis of child maltreatment as a result of the physical injury on the part of the mother's partner because after assessment is diagnosed: closed abdominal trauma. In the development of the clinical case, a documentary-bibliographic and field investigation of a descriptive nature was used to analyze the case by reviewing the clinical history and interviewing the patient's caregiver, to obtain information available and not available. A nursing guide is proposed so that the caregiver can be guided on measures of assistance and protection of the patient victim of child abuse, since it is necessary to propose strategies that contribute to improving their quality of life
