(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Terapia Física, 2020-03-01) Albuja Torres, Alisson Michelle; Cobo Sevilla, Verónica de los ÁngelesLcda. Msc.
The objective of this research was to identify the prevalent musculoskeletal disorders of the students of the Physical Culture and Sports Activity Pedagogy Race, it should be noted that the proper practice of physical activity can modify the level of risk of injury Musculoskeletal in people undergoing continuous stress such as university students, it is important to understand the epidemiological behavior that exists in this population to determine what physical problems are developing or are already established, generating interest in preventive and therapeutic interventions. For what was proposed, analyze the epidemiological profile of the students; performing an anamnesis, physical evaluation, manual tests and assessments according to need which consists of filling out questionnaires (Oswestry, SF36, global questionnaire on physical activity), used internationally with great reliability and validity to reach an effective diagnosis. Data were collected through surveys and scales, the evaluation was also carried out on the participants at a certain time. The results revealed that the majority of students had good physical constitution; the majority had no pathological history and presented spinal, knee and ankle injuries; In the specific assessments, the participants presented lumbar instability and low back pain, ligament distension and patellar tendonitis, sprained ankle and unstable ankle since most do not have adequate physical conditioning, undergoing forced exercise. Concluding that students regularly do physical activity, their discomfort to most does not prevent them from performing their activities and feels generally healthy.

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Terapia Física, 2020-02-01) Shunta Ortiz, Jeniffer Fernanda Jeniffer Fernanda; Latta Sánchez, María AugustaLcda. Mg.
Currently there are no relevant data or research on the subject in Ecuador, so this study can be a guide for a research and implementation of a future physiotherapeutic treatment plan. The present investigation had as a research to know the main musculoskeletal injuries that the floricultors of the Alaquez Parish present through a physiotherapeutic clinical history that included a physical evaluation (goniometric test, postural test and muscle strength test), added to the questionnaire application (NDI, DASH AND OSWESTRY) and specific manual tests. This research has a qualitative-quantitative cross-sectional approach, the study was conducted in 20 floricultors (20-50 years, 100% right-handed), and the data collection was directly in their workplace. In this population it was found that the main musculoskeletal injuries that stand out were: chondromalacia patella, rotator cuff tendinitis, epitrocleitis and low back pain followed by pathologies with less prevalence such as: carpal tunnel syndrome, cervicobrachial neuralgia, subacromial impingement, epicondylitis and tenosynovitis Quervain, they are caused by work activities, years of service and postural alterations.
