Item Impulsividad y riesgo de consumo de sustancias psicotrópicas(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-04-20) Heredia Quintana, Erick Steeve; Mena Freire, Marco AntonioImpulsivity is the difficulty in self-control so that the subject acts according to need or defense without premeditation. The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between impulsivity and risk ofpsychotropic substance use. The methodology implemented in this study corresponds to a non-experimental design of correlational and prospective type. The sample consisted of 186 university students, aged between 18 and 50 years, selected by non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The Barratt impulsivity scale (BIS-11) and the alcohol, tobacco and substance use screening test (ASSIST v3.1) were applied. The results indicate that the psychotropic substance with the highest frequency with a moderate risk level is alcoholic beverages with a percentage of 69.9%. A statistically significant correlation (Rho=0.156; p<0.033) was found between motor impulsivity and the risk of drinking alcoholic beverages.Item La actitud frente al consumo de sustancias y su relación con la calidad de vida en estudiantes universitarios(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-04-20) Cajas Fernandez, David Fabricio; Bonilla Basantes, Paulina JhojanaAttitudes towards substance use affect the quality of life of university students. The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between attitudes towards substance use and quality of life. By means of a quantitative correlational approach, non-experimental design with a cross-sectional cut. The sample consisted of 136 university students between 18 and 25 years of age, selected by means of a non-probabilistic intentional sampling. The self-report of psychoactive substance use (AICA) and the Olson and Barnes quality of life scale (reliability of 0.87 using the Kaiser-Meyer measure) were applied. The results showed a positive correlation (Pearson's R = 0.295 and p<0.01) between attitudes towards drug use and quality of life, 71.3% of those evaluated had unfavorable attitudes towards drug use, there was a tendency towards good quality of life, and there was a difference between attitudes towards drug use and the sex of the participantsItem Ansiedad y su relación con el consumo de tabaco en estudiantes universitarios(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-04-19) Hidalgo Guerrero, Gabriel Alexander; Ponce Delgado, Agueda del RocíoUniversity life is frequently exposed to stressors that lead to the appearance of anxiety, for example, academic demands or drastic changes in their routine, which in turn induce the search for ways to cope with their discomfort, such as the consumption of tobacco. Simultaneously, smoking facilitates the manifestation of different disorders, including anxiety, and for this reason, it is considered that this relationship is bidirectional. The aim of this article is to determinate the relationship between anxiety and tobacco consumption in university students. A quantitative approach with a correlational and cross-sectional scope was used. The sample included 112 university students (66.1% female and 33.9% male) selected through a non-probabilistic method. Participants were scored with the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and the Questionnaire for the Classification of Cigarette Consumers (C4). The range of severe anxiety predominated at 35.7%, and regarding the degree of tobacco use the severe level prevailed at 52.7%, for gender significant difference was revealed in the mean scores (men 24.6 and women 17.7) (p=<0.05). No correlation was found between anxiety and tobacco consumption. Considering the results, it can be concluded both variables are not associated, that is, smoking behavior can exist in the presence or not of anxiety, likewise, anxious symptomatology does not increase or decrease smoking.Item Consumo de alcohol y su relación con los estilos parentales en adolescentes de la comunidad de Salasaka(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-04-18) Masaquiza Masaquiza, Estefanía Mishelle; Tovar Viera, Andrea SusanaAlcohol consumption in adolescents is a social difficulty that generates a harmful impact on the community; however, the main triggers come from parental styles, described as the transmission of family patterns that induce the adolescent to build behaviors and values that will determine the risk or prevention of alcohol consumption, and not having an adequate family structure will produce permanent damage that can sometimes be irreversible. Based on this, the objective was to determine the relationship betw een the levels of alcohol consumption and parental styles in adolescents of the indigenous community of Salasaka. A quantitative, descriptive and correlational methodology was chosen, using data collection techniques such as the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Questionnaire (AUDIT) and Baumrind's Parental Styles Test, applied to 162 adolescents (89 males and 73 females) aged 12 to 17 years, with an average age of 15.6 years, selected by convenience sampling. As a result, high levels of alcohol consumption were obtained (42%), notable values that highlight the frequency of the negligent style and finally it was determined that there is a positive correlation (Rho= 0.305* p< 0.001) between alcohol consumption and parental style according to the perception of the adolescent (males). Thus, it is identified that a greater negligent parenting styleleads to greater alcohol consumption in adolescents.Item Consumo de drogas y su incidencia en el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de bachillerato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-04-10) Taco Guanoluisa, Mónica Maribel; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy CristinaDrugs are a problem that affects the entire society regardless of people's age, culture, religion or social stratum. In the field of education, it has been identified that this problem leads to low academic performance of students. And third upper level of the Salcedo Educational Unit. Then, a quantitative, correlational, field and cross-sectional methodology was chosen. The population of this study was 403 second and third year high school students, whose sample calculation was performed using the Sierra Bravo formula, with a margin of error of 3%, obtaining a sample of 384 participants. For the collection of information, an instrument carried out by the Ministry of Health of the Government of Spain in conjunction with the Delegation for the National Plan 2020-2021 was applied. The collection of information was carried out in the computer room s of the Educational Unit through Google forms.
