Item Establecer la Efectividad de la Ritmoterapia en el Envejecimiento Activo en la Población Adulta Mayor(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Centro de posgrados, 2021-07-01) Bonilla Ayala, Josselyn Gabriela Lcda. Ph.DAging is a natural process that undergoes changes as age advances, in order to adapt to different life situations, where aspects such as physical and psychological functions, independence and quality of life of the elderly are affected. This progressive deterioration may depend on lifestyle, environmental and social factors; for this reason they are considered as the most vulnerable population, since deterioration not only has health implications but also social and economic ones; causing a higher risk of degenerative, chronic and even incapacitating diseases in the elderly. Active aging should be promote by implementing interesting and fun activities such as physical activities that could be combined with music considered as an integral competence, which has several elements, to achieve a successful aging as well as to improve or avoid functional deterioration. Therefore, the research aims to establish the effectiveness of rhythm therapy in active aging in the older adult population. The research has a quantitative approach and is of a quasi-experimental type, since it will be evaluate at the beginning and end of the intervention by means of scales. In addition, it was apply to the older adult population; 20 people aged 65 years and older who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria participated. The participants underwent 12 sessions of 45 minutes once a week of exercise combined with music. The post-intervention results indicate that 85% have normal cognitive functions, 35% being women and 50% men, as well as in balance and movement, 85% of the population decreased the risk of falling, where 50% are between 65-75 years of age, concluding that rhythm therapy has a positive effect on active aging.Item “El tablero sensorial en el desarrollo cognitivo en niños de 1 a 2 años”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Estimulación Temprana, 2019-04-01) Tarco Cóndor, Claudia Alexandra; Mantilla García, Jimena Paola Lcd. PhD.The research was developed with the theme: "The sensorial board in cognitive development in children from 1 to 2 years", with a population of 15 infants which 10 infants corresponded to male and 5 female, was proposed as a goal to determine the baseline of cognitive development, the "Battelle" Development Inventory Test was used; and from the baseline, stimulation activities for cognitive development were applied through the sensory board. The methodological process was developed with the sensory board according to the milestones of the infant and characteristics of the cognitive area, the panels of the board were reviewed by experts and approved the same after having done three pilot tests and an observation card. The initial evaluation was carried out to establish the level of cognitive development, in the parameters weak points, normal and strong points; In the population under study, Pre-test and post-test was observed, analyzed and described. The results show an adequate increase in the development of skills and abilities in the cognitive area.Item “Niveles de ansiedad y respuestas de afrontamiento en pacientes oncológicos”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2018-04-01) Pérez Villavicencio, Marco Gabriel; Valencia Cepeda, María Cristina Psi. Cl. Mg.The present investigation was designed to determine the relation between anxiety levels and coping responses in oncology patients at Dr. Julio Enrique Paredes C. Hospital Solca Oncology Unit Solca of the province of Tungurahua, was conformed of 100 postsurgical patients of the female gender with ages between 30 to 40 years. The reagents applied were Hamilton Anxiety Scale and the Coping Response Inventory for adults (CRI-A). It is worth mention that the levels of anxiety influence coping responses, establishing that the higher the level of anxiety the less the coping response and the lower the level of anxiety the greater the coping response, in addition, it was concluded that coping responses with more prevalence in cognitive coping is acceptance and resignation, as for the behavioral coping is the emotional discharge, both are avoidance strategies, in which they stay focused in an emotion and reflect cognitive and behavioral attempts to avoid thinking about a stressor and its implications, or to manage the effect associated with it.Item “Respuestas de afrontamiento y calidad de vida”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2017-05-01) Robalino Morales, Liliana Margoth; Shugulí Zambrano, Catherine NatalyPs. Mg.The present study seeks determine the relationship between the coping responses and the quality of life of the PPL (s) of the Centro de Rehabilitación Social Regional Sierra Centro Norte, who are the beneficiaries because the results obtained will show the real needs of the population at the same time contribute the conduct of future research. The study sample consisted of 90 PPL (s) who were evaluated through the Inventory of Coping Responses which determines the types of responses of cognitive approach, behavioral approximation, cognitive avoidance and behavioral avoidance; The GENCAT Quality of Life Scale provides a global result of quality of life levels based on the dimensions of analysis such: emotional well-being, interpersonal relationships, material well-being, personal development, physical well-being, self-determination, social inclusion and development. For the analysis of the data the SSPS statistical program, finding that there is relation between the two variables. Latacunga. 2016(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud- Centro de posgrado, 2016-11-01) López Guerrero,Ana Abigaíl Md.; Neto Mullo Dr. Esp,Becker SantiagoNowadays, the technological advances have allowed reducing the birth rate and mortality, as well as improving social conditions, the older population is growing, and its health care is becoming a problem of public health and social security. According to the year 2025, there will be approximately 600 million older adults, increased longevity has requirements that cannot be ignored. The present research aimed to explore the dimensions of family health affected according to the functional status of older adults, in order to have better elements that guarantee a successful aging. It was remained a qualitative and quantitative approach, relational and transversal research based on the theory of decoupling of Cumming and Henry, applied to 55 families with seniors US 23 sector - Latacunga. Collection techniques are observation, interview, family files, clinical files, geriatric test, FF-SIL and family of risk features list. The data were processed in Excel, tabulated in SPSS and statistically significant with chi2. It concludes that family health that predominates is family dysfunction with a level of extreme criticality in more than a half, identifying risks of critical economy, low educational level, disability, negligence in care or abuse and poor hygiene. The categories of operation affected more harmony and adaptability. The functionality of the older adults determined by implemented activities over are dependent, in basic activities most are independent, the cognitive deterioration is moderate and there is a high social risk. The frailty syndrome is a pre disabled state, a state of vulnerability, or is detected and thus can address the situation to delay adverse events or overlooked and the elderly can cross the thin line separates fragility of disability. Objective: To identify frailty syndrome in the elderly and their impact on family health. Methods: Cross-sectional, descriptive, observational, with mixed approach of a total population of 200 adults over 65 years of sectors served by postgradistas of Family and Community Medicine, parish Cunchibamba, Study 2015/2016 period. Results: The frequency of frailty in the elderly was 163 (81.5%), the age range of 71-90 years predominated with 48.5%, 59.6% were women. It was classified according to the degree of functional impairment, mild weakness in 71 (43.5%), moderate 57 (34.9%), severe 35 (21.4%). Among the sociodemographic characteristics, marital status married 87 (53.4%), the level of instruction illiterate - incomplete primary 102 (62.5%) and employee work status 86 (52.8%) had significant percentages in different degrees of fragility. factors associated with the frail elderly, polypharmacy, hospitalization, depression, cognitive level and comorbidities with statistically significant results were identified. The family impact before the event frail old man, was coded by level of impairment, mild 47 (29.0%), moderate 49 (30.0%) and severe 21 (13.0%). Conclusions: A high level of fragility was identified in the elderly, with moderate impact on family health, mainly affecting the economic area, without underestimating the socio-psychological areas and family functioning.Item La Estimulación Multisensorial para el desarrollo Cognitivo de los Niños con Parális Cerebral de 2 a 3 años en la Unidad Especializada Puyo(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Estimulación Temprana, 2016-10-01) Maldonado Escobar, Daniela Carolina; Llerena Poveda, Verónica del Cármen Dra.The research part of the approach the objective is to determine the influence of multisensory stimulation on cognitive development of children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) 2 - 3 years, for which bibliographical research that scientifically supports the work is done through the development of the two variables: the multi-sensory stimulation and cognitive development; it delves into the school to see the reality of living of children. assessment tools that are the Portage Guide assessment of child development and the observation sheet TRAIT RATING (TR) is selected, through which information cognitive stimulation and multi-sensory stimulation is collected, the data are presented in tables with their frequencies and percentages and their respective graphic, allowing better visualize the results of how multisensory stimulation influences cognitive development. T-Student for related samples where the results relate to contrast the progress of the initial and final set of cognitive development of children evaluated test is performed; for this reason the children experienced significant progress by implementing assessment tools (Portage Guide), which means that "multisensory stimulation itself contributes to the cognitive development of children with cerebral palsy 2 to 3 years Unit specialized Puyo ". In accordance with the specific objectives it come to the conclusions that: Children with cerebral palsy between 2 and 3 years maintained an average level of cognitive development due to the degree of disability, so that this does not allow them to explore the environment in which they develop and does not allow them to experience on their own the benefits it offers; multisensory stimulation had an effective result in children with cerebral palsy, because this produces a greater number of stimuli as his word itself implies (multisensory), which greatly benefits the development of children with CP. the recommendations as outlined: Perform sessions snoezelen individually, so that the child can focus your attention on the activities undertaken, which will help produce a greater amount of stimuli in your body and in your brain, and therefore this will contribute to the optimal brain development of children with CP.Item El Cuento Motor en el Desarrollo de Habilidades Motoras Gruesas en Niños Menores de 6 años con Retraso Mental Leve y Moderado En la Fundación San José de Huambalo del Cantón Pelileo(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Estimulación Temprana, 2016-08-01) Salazar Vargas, Johana Paulina; Pérez Constante, Myrian Biviana. Mg.The purpose of this research is to design and implement stories engines to develop motor skills thick in children younger than 6 years with mild and moderate mental retardation who regularly attend the Foundation "San Jose de Huambaló" of Pelileo canton, for in this way contribute to improving the balance, posture and coordination; taking into account the needs and condition that presents each child(a), performing first a pre-test with the scale of Nelson Ortiz to know the level of development at which are the boys and girls, back to this evaluation is proceeded with the implementation of the tales engines during a period of six months, with a frequency of three days per week. At the end of this application was made a pos test and thus be able to determine the level of development that managed to reach these children. Over the course of the investigation it may reveal that the story engine is a playful activity that stimulates and encourages the child, since the story engine to be an activity of movement allows a child develop their psychomotor skills in a better manner. In addition the use of this resource contributes significantly to the development cognitive, affective, motor, and social.
