    This research has been raised in order to ascertain whether there is a relationship between family functioning and personality styles of students of the Education Unit "Rumiñahui" of Ambato City, this group has 450 students, of who are men and women with aged between 13 and 18 years. As psychometric instruments have raised the test to identify familiar functionality the family functioning Questionnaire (FF-SIL) created by Pérez, Louro de la Cuesta, and Youth Personality Inventory (MAPI), developed by Theodore Millon for further study establishing a relationship between the two variables. Thus, it was shown that if there is a close relationship between the two variables according to the formula of "Chi-square" X2 raised by Pearson, the formula is [x² (21) = 62.591; N = 208; P <0.050] the alternative hypothesis is accepted. In terms of functionality prevailed moderately functional Family with acceptable approval by teenagers, however the personality style that was predominant in young Introvert personality style characterized by not socializing with other individuals, because adolescents they prefer to be alone and do your daily activities without getting involved with other people. Also it was found that the style that stood out among females was represented by Introvert not socializing with other individuals, as teenagers prefer to be alone and do your daily activities without getting involved with other people. To do a strategic plan is proposed to find solutions to the problems both with adolescents, parents and authorities of the institution

    The research project with the theme "Family Functionality and impulsivity in adolescents of the Joaquín Lalama Education Unit" aims to conduct a study of the association between family functioning variables and impulsivity in 98 teenage students with an age range of 16 -18 years. The information and results obtained through the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale BIS-11 which is responsible for assessing cognitive impulsivity, motor and unplanned, and Family Functioning Questionnaire was used FF-SIL which is obtained as the level of functional results family, moderate functionality and dysfunctional family. The work primarily consists of contextualization, which allows finding of this research related also to justify and indicate the reasons for which the project is considered beneficial to society studies. The basis of the project is based on research obtained history of scientific papers as well as theoretical basis based on different authors that substantiate the theoretical foundation. It consists of analysis and interpretation of the results of the psychological reagents used, the analysis was performed using tabulations, graphs and statistical tables that allows data verification. Through Chi-Square the hypothesis proposed was tested and determined to be exists a relationship between the level of family functional and impulsivity in adolescents of the Education Unit "Joaquin Lalama".

    The research project on the theme "Family Functionality and personality strengths of students of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato" aims to conduct a study of the association between family functioning variables and strengths personality 145 students studying early learning belonging to the Faculty of Health Sciences with an age range of 18-26 years. Information and results were obtained by questionnaire strengths of personality (VIA), which identifies five prevailing strengths of a total of 24 and divided into 6 groups of strong personality, and Family Functioning Questionnaire was used FF-SIL which is obtained as a result the level of family functional, moderate functional and dysfunctional family. Through Chi-cuadrado the proposed hypothesis was tested and determined to be a relationship between the level of family functional and strengths of personality in the career of early stimulation of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

    Funcionalidad Familiar y Factores de Resiliencia de los Niños y Niñas de la Unidad Educativa Luis Felipe Borja

    This research work has as main objective to determine the correlation between family functioning and resilience factors in the aforementioned population, and what is sought is to investigate the incidence of the types of family functioning; functionality, moderate dysfunction, and severe with individual resilience factors such as dysfunctional; esteem, humor, creativity, self-concept, also sought to have a clear idea of the prevalence of family functionality and gender, for purposes of the investigation was considered appropriate to carry out the evaluation of 60 children who was administered the questionnaire Family APGAR to measure the level of functionality and inventory of personal resilience factors. After analyzing the results through statistical program SPSS.20 hypothesis was verified through chi-square and it was determined that family functioning is related positively with the factors of resilience in general and in each of the factors as lower values were obtained to 0.050. In addition, an 81.67 % of the total population has perceived his family as functional in terms of personal resilience factors, 33.33 % was obtained at high levels, and the 51.66 % predominates in the middle level, and 15.00 % in low levels of resilience.

    Bertalanffy describes that a system cannot deal or be described in individual form, which means that it bears in mind to the subject as long as this one belongs to a system, hereby on having be studied to the subject from this perspective there appear three elementary rules that any system possesses, include these: a system develops inside other one, a system is flexible and his functioning depends on his structure. Aaron Beck, cognitive behavioral exponent of the current, adds that the subject tends to get depressed on the basis of a triad that he proposes that the subjects in this condition tend to present a negative vision of if same, of the environment and of the future hereby the impact that has in to think, to be sorry and to act allows him to develop depressive symptomatology being one of these symptoms it is the suicidal thoughts who accompanies so much of physical as psychological symptoms. Structurally this this investigation based under two criteria: quantitative and qualitative, this includes the obtaining result on the basis of tests that throw numerical and descriptive categories; the modalities used for the investigation are bibliographical documentary and field investigation, in such a way that there is validated the correlation of the proposed variables.

    From immemorial times the family has been considered as the principal institution that determines the emotional and social development of the subjects that make up the family according to their degree of functionality or dysfunctionality; taking into account the INEC statistical data says that the divorce rate in the country has increased significantly, should be noted that family dysfunction is directly related to the increase in the number of divorces and family separations. As expressed in scientific research, family dysfunction has a great impact on the life and development of household members, especially in children, generating in them what society calls "problem behaviors", Here the attention is focused on impulsivity, understanding impulsivity as a defense mechanism that prevents the person reflects on the motivations of his conduct, his difficulty in accepting the limits and low tolerance to stress and frustration. The general objective of the project is to determine the relationship between levels of family functioning and impulsivity, through two psychological tests such as the FF-SIL and Barratt Impulsivity Scale to students of the Oscar Efrén Reyes high school, the results denoted that effectively if there is a relationship between these two variables, as in functional families predominates unplanned impulsivity in moderately functional families predominant cognitive impulsivity and functional families and severely dysfunctional motor impulsivity predominates.
