Assertiveness is the absence of anxiety in social situations, which allows the manifesting of feelings, thoughts, emotions, and actions. On the other hand, the mood is a composite of self-perceived sensations, the origin of which is biopsychosocial and practically manageable by the perceiving subject himself. This study aimed to determine the relationship between assertiveness and mood in professional adults. The study maintains a quantitative-non-experimental approach, with a cross-sectional and correlational scope. The Rathus Assertiveness Test (RAS), standardized by Madrigal in 2009 in Costa Rica, and the mood assessme nt scale (EVEA), standardized by Giuria and López in 2021 in Peru, were used to measure the variables. The results showed that there is a correlation between the variables, 96% of the population has a level of assertiveness above the average range. In the mood state, 42% maintain a moderate level of happiness with low levels of anxiety at 42%, sadness-depression at 50%, and anger-hostility at 64%. Abstract The present research focused on the study of family communication which is defined as a process of interaction with family members. Depression is a mental state in which a person has a negative view of his or her identity, environment and future. The aim of the current study is to determine the relationship between family communication and depression in indigenous adolescents. We worked from a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental , cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational design. There was a sample of 121 students, both male and female, aged between 14 and 19 years. The instruments used were the Family Communication Scale and the Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI II). The study data did not follow a normal distribution so no significant correlation was found between the two variables. The predominant type of family communication is good and the level of depression that stands out is minimal, it is important to note that there are cultural aspects that have a positive influence. The variables presented diverse distributions, with differences observed between genders.

LA COMUNICACIÓN EN EL CUIDADO HUMANIZADO BRINDADO POR EL PROFESIONAL DE ENFERMERÍA
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-28) Ganán López, Karen Daniela; Chasillacta Amores, Fabiola Beatriz
Communication in humanized care allows an adequate development of the nurse/patient relationship with the objective of obtaining the necessary information that contributes to the planning of holistic care, thus satisfying all the patient’s needs. Information on communication and its importance in the quality humanized care provided by the nursing professional was analyzed. To carry out this research, a documentary study methodology was used, which took into account those papers and scientific publications published between 2019 and 2023, which are freely available, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, using databases such as Google Scholar, SciELO, Dialnet, Redalyc, Elsevier for their search and selecting through the PRISMA method those that contribute to the research. Thanks to the analysis of the available information, it became evident that in addition to the relevance of this communicative process in the quality of care, there are negative points that limit its full development, the importance of appropriate academic training along with the constant training of the professional to adequately handle such situations and finally the perception that patients and / or family has.

Methodology: A descriptivedocumentary review was carried out based on the analysis of scientific data registered in Scielo, PubMed and bibliographic managers linked to the research topic, using PRISMA diagram, search equations such as "Ethics AND Limitation of Therapeutic Effort" OR Intensive Care Unit. Results: We found 30 articles which allowed us to know the bioethical aspects of the limitation of therapeutic effort within the intensive care unit. Conclusion: The application of the limitation of therapeutic effort within the intensive care unit is still controversial due to the legal repercussions that this implies, however, the health professional has the necessary training in the bioethical field to make a pertinent judgment regarding the development of restrictive measures for futility or non-beneficence

Down Syndrome is a chromosomal anomaly in which the nuclei of the body's cells have 47 chromosomes instead of 46, also called trisomy 21. This change causes changes in the development and functioning of motor skills, cognitive, social and language; and body systems leading to delays in these areas to varying degrees. The general objective was to establish the benefits of the Benson Schaeffer Method for language development in patients with Down Syndrome. We worked through a clinical case analysis using an anamnesis card, in addition to the clinical history and the interview technique. The results obtained through the Rossetti Child Language Assessment Scale show the low points obtained by the patient, since these indicate a setback of 12 to 15 months, which for the scale is a serious warning sign, the girl in He is currently 2 years 2 months old and is making a great recovery in the area of language. In the other areas the patient is in a normal range. It was evidenced that the Benson Schaffer method of total communication is of great help to potentiate the language area where through the test it was known that the patient has warning signs, the method is new and innovative that can be applied and with the reinforcements and activities, good results can be obtained. Total communication as a language development program also serves to strengthen attention, concentration and memory, making it a complete program for the entire language area.

“Percepción de los familiares del paciente hospitalizado en la unidad de cuidados intensivos ante la intervención de enfermería durante la crisis circunstancial en el hospital general Ambato, periodo octubre 2018 – enero 2019”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Enfermería, 2019-03-01) Revelo Burgos, Dayana Amarely; Peñafiel Paucar, Miriam del Rocío Lic. Mg.
Family plays a very important role in patient recovery. Despite this, it is rarely considered as an important recovery component in nursing practices. As such, we decided to carry out the current research with the objective of determining the perception of relatives regarding patient care provided by nursing staff at the Intensive Care Unit of Ambato General Hospital. The research project uses a quantitative methodology, non-experimental field research design, with a cross-sectional type of descriptive research, the study population was made up of family members identified in the period established by the project with a total of 32 participants included by close relatives such as: parents, mothers, spouses, children; through the application of a structured interview, which was carried out in the Intensive Care Unit of the Ambato General Hospital. Finally, it was concluded that the relatives of the patients consider a very good nursing care, in the three dimensions studied, the quality of attention, emotional support and finally the level of communication between the nursing staff and the relatives, however there are aspects to improve, such as: the nursing staff must first identify their relatives so that they know and establish good communication with the staff in charge of their patient during the hospital stay.
