Item Niveles de Funcionalidad Familiar e Impulsividad en Adolescentes de la Unidad Educativa Oscar Efrén Reyes del Cantón Baños(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Psicología Clínica, 2016-06-01) Pullugando Reyes, Irene Elizabeth; Añazco Lalama, Ángel Santiago Dr. MSc.From immemorial times the family has been considered as the principal institution that determines the emotional and social development of the subjects that make up the family according to their degree of functionality or dysfunctionality; taking into account the INEC statistical data says that the divorce rate in the country has increased significantly, should be noted that family dysfunction is directly related to the increase in the number of divorces and family separations. As expressed in scientific research, family dysfunction has a great impact on the life and development of household members, especially in children, generating in them what society calls "problem behaviors", Here the attention is focused on impulsivity, understanding impulsivity as a defense mechanism that prevents the person reflects on the motivations of his conduct, his difficulty in accepting the limits and low tolerance to stress and frustration. The general objective of the project is to determine the relationship between levels of family functioning and impulsivity, through two psychological tests such as the FF-SIL and Barratt Impulsivity Scale to students of the Oscar Efrén Reyes high school, the results denoted that effectively if there is a relationship between these two variables, as in functional families predominates unplanned impulsivity in moderately functional families predominant cognitive impulsivity and functional families and severely dysfunctional motor impulsivity predominates.
