Item Rasgos predominantes de personalidad en relación con el síndrome de burnout en las enfermeras del hospital José María Velasco Ibarra de la ciudad de Tena(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2021-10-01) Chida Cortez, Karla Marsella; Ponce Delgado, Agueda del Rocio Dra. Mg.The present research had as objective to determinate connection between predominant personality traits and Burnout syndrome in a part of the nursing team of Tena’s José María Velasco Ibarra hospital, which is the only hospital in Napo province. In this quantitative approachable research, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional type, it was carried out with the collaboration of 115 nurses from different service areas. Psychological instruments such as: The International Personality Disorder Examination (IPDE) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory - MBI-HSS Humanitarian Service Survey were applied. The data analysis was conducted in the SPSS statistical program, through the Spearman Rho test. The test demonstrated relationship between personality traits and Burnout syndrome. The different dimensions presented a statistically significant correlation (p <0, 05). The emotional exhaustion dimension with the personality traits: paranoid, borderline, avoidance, schizotypal, narcissistic, obsessive-compulsive and dependence. The depersonalization dimension with personality traits: histrionic, paranoid and avoidance. Finally, the dimension of personal fulfillment with personality traits: Boundaries, dependence, and paranoid. Besides, in sociodemographic factors, the majority are women, with an average of 34.06 years old. The single marital status prevails, they do not have children. A large part of the population belongs to the emergency service, they have an average of 41, 15 hours of work per week and an average of 7.66 years of work experience. Finally, in Burnout syndrome, the dimension most affected is emotional exhaustion, followed by personal fulfillment and depersonalization.
