    In the present research work it was raised aimed to determine the effects of balance and coordination exercises to improve gross motor skills in people with intellectual disabilities who attend the Center on Disabilities Inclusive "El Peral" GADMA belonging to the Municipality of Ambato. The study was shown to 34 people who meet the inclusion criteria, which have mild to moderate intellectual disability. After having the respective authorization by informed consent by parents we proceeded to collect information for our study. several data collection instruments among which are the observation sheet adapted to describe the exercises of balance and coordination made by the therapist was used instead; Tinetti test that allowed us to know the initial and final state of the subjects in the study, along with a survey questionnaire of ten questions applied to parents at the beginning and end of the investigation. These instruments were the basis of the study because the data could be verified the effectiveness of the exercises. The results of the research were positive as it was possible to improve balance and coordination in people with intellectual disabilities; that is, they managed to maintain their balance when valued as sit without support and remain stable, rising from a single attempt without losing balance, standing with eyes closed, turn 360º degrees, achieving kept in balance by pushing the sternal area.
