The results of the survey show the low use of cognitive strategies in the teaching-learning process. Also, the low use of planning of relevant and motivating activities that make students interest in the language. From this survey I designed activities with each one of the cognitive strategies according to the students’ needs in order to provide the teachers some materials to improve their methodology and make their students develop the vocabulary effectively and use their cognitive part of the brain because at the moment to use reasoning, students can achieve their goals and make a most significant learning.Item "Las estrategías metacognitivas en el área de speaking del idioma Inglés en los estudiantes de Décimo año de Educación General Básica del Centro Educativo "Anibal Salgado Ruiz" del cantón Tisaleo,provincia de Tungurahua"(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato. Carrera de Idiomas., 2015-09-11) Panimboza Maliza, Wilson Hernán; Acosta Bones, Silvia BeatrizThis research focuses on the creative development of students in their tenth year of General Basic Education Section “A” in the Educative Center "Aníbal Ruiz Salgado". The main objective is to deliver to the educational community a detailed analysis of the Metacognitive Strategies and its impact on the area affecting English Speaking. It is intended to guide decisions that the teacher must make during the teaching and learning process through the following delivery of a proposal which should be used as a tool to achieve better results when learners speak English: Guía didáctica de estrategias metacognitivas para desarrollar de major manera el área de SPEAKING en los estudiantes del Décimo Año del Centro Educativo “Aníbal Salgado Ruiz” del Cantón Tisaleo, provincia de Tungurahua”. This proposal is not a final product so, the ones with any approach to this research, could also contribute to the improvement of this work. To achieve what is described above, both primary and secondary levels of information were collected. It is important to mention that the primary data were collected directly through questionnaires from students and teachers. The research consists of six chapters in which various topics were studied and these sections are organized according to the importance which they hold for the study this research was limited to students in their tenth year of General Basic Education in the Educative Center “Aníbal Salgado Ruiz”.
