    This research addresses the use of fables as a pedagogical tool to strengthen the practice of values in third-grade students of Basic General Education. The relevance of the topic lies in the need to promote integral education in the classroom, especially in a context where social values are increasingly weakened. The study is framed within the research line of social and educational behavior. The main objective was to analyze the use of fables as a didactic tool in the practice of values among third-grade students of Basic General Education. A mixed-method approach was applied, using a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, at a descriptive level, and based on bibliographic, documentary, and field modalities. The techniques used were a student survey and a teacher interview, through a Likert-scale questionnaire and an interview script, both validated by expert judgment. The population consisted of 100 students, from which a representative sample of 29 was selected. The results showed that although the use of fables is not consistent, their application has a positive impact on the understanding and practice of values such as honesty, respect, and solidarity. It is concluded that fables, by combining symbolic storytelling and moral teaching, constitute a meaningful and effective tool within the teaching-learning process.
