    Módulo inteligente para la estimulación multisensorial en niños con síndrome de Down del Centro de rehabilitación física y neurológica “Bendiciones” de la ciudad de Ambato

    The multisensory stimulation in childhood is a valid strategy for working with people who have any disability or disorder such as Down syndrome, since it allows the development of their cognitive, physical and sensory skills. Whereby, in order to generate answers from the development field and applicability of technology in therapies, an intelligent module was made for multisensory stimulation in children with Down Syndrome from "Bendiciones" Physical and Neurological Rehabilitation Center located in Ambato city. The module was developed under the suggestions of professionals in early stimulation, taking into account Gimeno and Rico methodology of, which is based on the selection of activities according to children needs. This consists of three sections or interactive panels, each of which aims to develop the child's cognitive, motor and sensory abilities through different activities. For which, the children interact with the module through colored buttons, figures, sensors and other didactic materials, stimulating them in this way to carry out actions perceived by their senses. In turn, this contains lights, sounds, smells, textures and movements that, through actuator devices, encourage the use of the prototype. The project is also made up of a web application aimed at monitoring the child's progress in therapy, based on the Gimeno and Rico evaluation instrument; as well as, it allows the management of information related to the children and therapists of the center. The web application was developed under the concept of front-end and back-end, using Vue Js and Laravel respectively. Taking into account that Laravel is a PHP framework that works with the model-view-controller (MVC) software architecture; With this, it was possible to develop a robust and dynamic application that can be widely scalable. It is worth mentioning that the application is hosted in the AWS cloud so that it can be accessed from any device.
