Carrera de TelecomunicacionesThe visualization of antenna radiation patterns is key in the study of telecommunications and RF engineering. However, the difficulty of interpreting them statically limits their understanding. In response, an interactive system was developed to provide an advanced educational experience for engineering students. The goal is to offer a tool that allows real-time visualization of RF antenna radiation patterns and understanding how they vary with different frequencies. The system consists of modeling, visualization, and dynamic update stages. Blender was used to create the 3D models of the antennas, and MATLAB with Antenna Toolbox was used to generate the radiation patterns, including azimuthal and elevation patterns, across frequencies from 100 MHz to 6 GHz. The interactive environment was developed in Unity, allowing the visualization of three screens: one frontal with the antenna menu and topic, one lateral showing the azimuthal diagram, and another with the 3D representation of the antenna. In the center, the radiation pattern of the selected antenna is displayed, enabling the user to interact and observe how it changes with frequency. Additionally, a complementary system was implemented allowing students without MetaQuest 2 glasses to scan a QR code. Using their mobile phone, students can view the radiation pattern projected on a screen using Python and MATLAB, making it accessible without additional hardware. This interactive platform provides a more comprehensive and accessible learning experience.
