Item Sistema electrónico para monitorización y rehabilitación de pacientes con artrosis de rodillas del Centro de Fisioterapia Toasa(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Telecomunicaciones, 2023-09) Guerrero Candilejo, Mishael Estefaní; Benalcázar Palacios, Freddy GeovannyThe present research project details the development of an electronic system for monitoring and rehabilitation of patients with knee osteoarthritis at the Toasa physiotherapy center, aiming to be useful in treating the diverse patients who come to the center. The electronic knee rehabilitation system features a mechanical structure, and a worm screw was used to perform the flexion and extension movement in individuals. This movement is actuated by a DC motor, and a linear potentiometer was used to determine the angle at which the knee is positioned. The entire system is controlled by an Arduino Mega, which includes an LCD screen and a matrix keyboard for visualizing and controlling the structure's functioning. Once the structure is operational, data is sent to a local server. The information is transmitted via serial communication to the ESP8266 microcontroller, and using the MQTT protocol, it is sent to a virtual machine where a LAMP server has been previously installed. Here, all the received information is processed in a Python file and subsequently uploaded to a database. The interface to visualize the patients' data was created using JavaScript, PHP, and HTML programming. Finally, tests were conducted at the Toasa Physiotherapy Center, confirming its correct functioning according to the parameters set by the center
