Item Sistema de monitoreo para la detección de personas hipertensas empleando inteligencia artificial.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Telecomunicaciones, 2023-03) Bayas Bustos, Juan Carlos; Manzano, SantiagoArterial hypertension is considered the silent enemy of the entire world, it is characterized by being a pathology that does not present symptoms and causes millions of deaths around the world, of all the people who suffer from hypertension, approximately only 46% know it. For this reason, this project focuses on implementing a monitoring system for the detection of hypertensive people using artificial intelligence. This project describes the use of an electronic device for the measurement of blood pressure, the electronic element complies with being a non-invasive equipment for the human body. The data that is acquired will be analyzed by a virtual assistant that is programmed to issue diagnoses using trained artificial intelligence models. The operation of the main sensor in charge of taking blood pressure measurements is based on photoplestimography, which basically emits light beams towards the skin and analyzes how much of this light was absorbed. The data is collected by an electronic card and sent via USB serial communication to the virtual assistant programmed in Python, free-use libraries are used with excellent performance responses. The assistant will ask the patient a series of questions to learn more about her lifestyle and analyze this data using artificial intelligence. As a final result, a virtual assistant capable of detecting when a person suffers from hypertension is obtained, and if so, to which category within that pathology it belongs. This assistant will issue a complete diagnosis, adding the existing probabilities that the patient may suffer a cardiovascular or cerebral accident, based on the answers that have been entered, finally this information is stored in a database.
