    Los patrones socio-culturales de género y su incidencia en la reproducción de violencia contra la mujer en el cantón 24 de Mayo de la provincia de Manabí

    This research aims at the development of a social proposal aimed to change socio-cultural patterns that affect gender violence, for which in the present work the influence of gender stereotypes for playing will determine the violence against women in the canton 24de Mayo province of Manabi. To make this work an approach was used the descriptive methodology, the same as part of the perspectives of a particular social group on the different social gender stereotypes, through direct observation, focus group interviews among others as well as social customs or practices that sustain and reproduce gender violence. From the analysis, based on the information collected, you can determine that both social gender stereotypes, as well as socio-cultural practices are discriminatory and violate the rights of women, especially to live a life free of violence . To others it is concluded that these cultural practices are not challenged and are seen as normal by the majority of the population

    Participación de la mujer en el poder público en la ciudad de Loja de la época colonial, republicana hasta la actualidad

    The purpose of this research is to analyze the participation of women in the public power of the city of Loja of the colonial era to the present republican. I believe that to achieve this stated objective should be based from the theoretical perspective the role of women in public spaces and identify power throughout history the exercise of its power. To this end two proposals arises both institutional and at the level of groups of women; therefore, this research is focused as a cultural contribution to the city, with the aim of recognizing the role of women in the course of history. From there, we call the Cabildo Lojano is concientice and thus strengthen documentary and historical research of the Historical Archives of Loja, and also rescue many achievements that women have made in several areas
