    “Estrés académico y consumo de alcohol en estudiantes”

    The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the dimensions of academic stress and alcohol consumption, the study was descriptive correlational type. The population with which we worked was with the students of the Juan León Mera Educational Unit "La Salle". The sample was of 190 students, who were in sixth year of baccalaureate between the ages of 17 to 18 years. In order to evaluate the dimensions of academic stress, the SISCO test by Arturo Barraza was used and AUDICT by Perula de Torreza was used for alcohol consumption. According to the results obtained, it was concluded that there is a relationship between these two variables, it was also possible to describe the levels and dimensions of academic stress where the stressor that affected the most was the excess of evaluations. He found physiological symptoms such as drowsiness or need to sleep. In the psychological reactions it was demonstrated problems in the cognitive sphere, anxiety and anguish, within the behavioral reactions it was evidenced that there is prevalence in the demotivation by the educational activities. Regarding the data in the coping strategies that students use the most, assertive ability was found to be the most used. Finally, when determining the levels of alcohol consumption in students, a moderate level was obtained, which causes problems in their biopsychosocial sphere

    “Estudio comparativo del nivel de acoso escolar en estudiantes de una institucion pùblica y privada”

    The main objective of this research work was to compare the level of bullying in students of the private educational institution “La Inmaculada” belonging to the Ambato city, between students of the public educational institution “Pedro Fermín Cevallos” in the Cevallos city, through abuse scales physical and psychological, comprised in two representative instances such as the global index and intensity of harassment, and the levels of severity of clinical damage that harassed students possess, this cynical damage is evaluated by means of a set of symptoms, anxiety, stress post-traumatic, dysthymia, decreased self-esteem, flashbacks, somatizations, negative self-image and self-deprecation, providing a broad view on the current problem of school bullying in educational contexts, in this way the focus of the study is a quantitative design of comparative type. 160 students between the ages of 14 and 16 years of age who were attending tenth year of basic education were evaluated through the sociodemographic-socio-economic record and the IVE test of bullying and school violence of Iñaki and Piñuel to detect the level of bullying, its modalities such as physical, verbal and psychological abuse and the clinical scales that reveal the existence of psychological damage. The results of the research showed the presence of peer bullying in both institutions, however, it is in the public institution where more of these behaviors were recorded.

    “El autoconcepto y su relación con los estilos del humor en el adulto mayor”

    For what a person is considered within the group of adults, according to the United Nations, said person must be 60 years old onwards and under this slogan, they are also part of one of the vulnerable groups of Ecuador. This population does not count on many studies about the self-concept that they present in their different dimensions or on the style of humor that they use in their majority; For this reason, research is important to obtain information about how the established variables are manifested in a group of institutionalized older adults in our environment and the objective was to analyze the relationship between self-concept and mood styles in the elderly. The type of research is correlational, following a line of human health and quantitative. With the participation of a total of 47 older adults, external and internal users of the Integral Center for Older Adults, the Scale Self-concept Form Five Af-5 was applied, which measures self-concept in five dimensions and the Humor Styles Questionnaire that provides information on the 4 styles of humor. The results through the program Statistical Package for The Social Sciences (SPSS) indicated that there is a strong correlation between the dimensions of self-concept and the styles of humor in this group of participants; In addition, the prevailing styles of humor that were manifested are the increaser and the affiliative, in terms of the dimension of the highest self-concept, the labor followed by the physical one was presented. Women had a higher level of job and physical self-concept, while men indicated use mostly negative moods.

    “Estrés académico y funcionamiento familiar en el personal militar de la escuela de perfeccionamiento de aerotécnicos”

    The present study was carried out with the objective of determining the relationship that exists between academic stress with the family functioning of military personnel, of the School of Improvement of Aerotechnics (EPAE), belonging to the Ecuadorian Air Force (FAE), located in the City of Latacunga province of Cotopaxi-Ecuador. We worked with a sample of 113 male students, aged between 30 and 40 years, who were studying the military update course, which were evaluated with two psychological test, the first with the SISCO Inventory of academic stress. Where it assesses the stress level of the population studied, also assesses three dimensions such as: academic stressors, whether or not there is the presence of symptoms such as physical, psychological and behavioral reactions, in addition to coping strategies. The second with the Family Function Perception Test FF-SIL, which allows to evaluate the type of family functioning. After the application of the chi-square test the results that were obtained showed that academic stress and family functioning are not related, however, the presence of a moderate level of academic stress was identified in the majority of students. A family functioning where the dysfunctional family prevails. Therefore, it is recommended to carry out a follow-up, as well as perform a psycho-educational intervention for stress management and systemic oriented on family functioning in order to promote the mental health of the subjects of study.

    “Los estilos de crianza y su relación con el desarrollo del lenguaje en niños de 3 a 6 años”

    The main objective of this research project is to determine the relationship between parenting styles and the level of language development in children aged 3 to 6 years and as specific objectives: to describe the styles of parenting that are exercised in the families evaluated, analyze the level of development of normal and pathological language and relate parenting styles with different sociodemographic variables. The study has a quantitative approach of correlational type with a cross section, for which two psychological assessment instruments were applied, which are the PSDQ and Cumanin to students and parents or caregivers of children from 3 to 6 years of an educational institution. of Ambatillo in addition to a sociodemographic record for the fulfillment of one of the objectives of the investigation and to determine the inclusion and exclusion criteria. It was obtained as a result that the style that prevails in the population is the authoritative style, in addition that 85.29% of the minors evaluated are at a normal development level and 14.71% of the children have a level of pathological development, it was possible to determine that there are sociodemographic variables that influence the parenting style that parents have as age since there is a prevalence that the authoritative style is handled by parents or caregivers of early adulthood, unlike the authoritarian style that is more common in parents or caregivers who are in middle adulthood. By means of the statistical analysis H of Krukal-Wallis it is determined that the parenting style maintains a correlation with the expressive language. Proving that the style that infers positively for the development of expressive language is the authoritative style.

    “Depresión y actitudes disfuncionales en docentes de unidades de educación primaria y secundaria”.

    Objectives: Determine the relationship between depression and dysfunctional attitudes in teachers of primary and secondary education, identify the predominant dimension of depression in teachers, define the dimension of dysfunctional attitudes that predominates in teachers, and differentiate depression according to the level of education in which teachers of primary and secondary education work. Materials and methods: the present study is with a quantitative approach, with correlational model and the cross section, two instruments of psychological evaluation were applied to 61 teachers belonging to the educational units of the Canton of Ambato; The instruments used were the four-dimensional structural questionnaire for depression and the dysfunctional attitudes scale, as well an informative sheet, we content inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: The anergy was reduced to an average of higher rank (2.70), finally the next step was published. The information that is taken into account is more important compared to primary teachers. Conclusions: Throughout the application of Spearman's Rho statistical test it was determined that the variable depression correlates in a statistically significant way with six of the seven types of beliefs belonging to dysfunctional attitudes, with the exception of the type of belief straight over others.

    “La satisfacción familiar y su relación con la ansiedad en adolescentes”

    The main objective of this research project is to determine the relationship between the levels of family satisfaction and anxiety in adolescents and as specific objectives: to define levels of family satisfaction, to identify levels of anxiety and to differentiate family satisfaction according to sociodemographic variables. The present study is a quantitative approach, correlational and cross-sectional type, two psychological assessment instruments were applied to 71 adolescents from an educational institution in the canton of Latacunga; the instruments used were the family satisfaction scale and the state-trait anxiety questionnaire, in the same way a sociodemographic record was administered for the fulfillment of one of the objectives and to apply the inclusion and exclusion criteria. As results, it was obtained that the majority of the adolescents evaluated presented a high family satisfaction (54.9%), moderate state anxiety levels (49.3%) and moderate trait anxiety levels (50.7%); It was found that adolescents who reported having a better relationship with their mother had higher levels of family satisfaction than those who reported having a better relationship with their father or another member outside the nuclear family, as well as adolescents who reported consuming tobacco. at 4 times a month they had lower levels of family satisfaction than those who reported never consuming or who did one or fewer times a month. Through the application of Spearman's Rho statistical test, it was determined that family satisfaction presents a moderate negative correlation with state-trait anxiety. It is necessary to understand in greater depth the relationship described above, so it is advisable in the future to carry out explanatory studies that allow an understanding of the effect of one variable on the other.

    “Estilos de crianza percibidos y su relación con la impulsividad en personas privadas de la libertad”

    The upbringing of each human being depends exclusively on their main caregivers and will influence the development of the personality structure, as well as the way of acting before the different situations that arise; for this reason the objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between perceived parenting styles and impulsivity in people deprived of freedom of the Cotopaxi Social Rehabilitation Center. The design of the work was correlational explanatory type, with cross-section and field, since it worked in direct relation with 98 young adults in ages ranging from 20 to 40 years of the minimum-security stage, which were chosen through inclusion and exclusion criteria that were established. The research was carried out through the Parental Styles Scale and Perceived Parental Inconsistency (EPIPP) and the Barratt Impulsivity Scale (BIS-11), after the application of the test, Statical Package For The Social Sciences (SPSS) the program was used. Social Sciences (SPSS) chi square by Pearson. Using the data obtained, it was concluded that there is an association between the parent's parenting style and the impulsiveness of the persons evaluated, which was not presented by the mother. While the style that most prisoners perceive by their caregivers during their development was the overprotective and with respect to impulsivity was found that this population has excessively controlled impulsivity.

    “Consumo de cannabis y su relación con las funciones ejecutivas en personas privadas de la libertad del centro de privación de libertad de personas adultas Ambato”

    Cannabis is one of the most consumed drugs worldwide, in free people and prison population, this phenomenon affects the progress of the process of social rehabilitation, influences cerebral biochemistry thanks to the endocannabinoid receptors and this influences the executive functions. The main objective of this study was to determine if there is a relationship between cannabis use and executive functions in the penitentiary population of the Adult Deprivation Center in the city of Ambato, with a sample of 40 male people, 20 of them consumers and the rest non-consumers, with ages ranging from 18 to 65 years. To evaluate the variables, the psychometric tests were used: Neuropsychological Battery of Executive Functions and Frontal Lobes (BANFE 2) and the Cannabis Abuse Screening Test CAST. As a result, it was found that there is no relationship between Cannabis Consumption and Executive Functions, however higher average ranges were found in the areas evaluated by BANFE in non-consumers compared to consumers, and higher scores were found in inmates with more years of schooling and although these differences were not statistically significant, they propose lines for future studies, in a population as complex as the penitentiary.
