Cl.The family is a fundamental pillar in the support of the patient during the progression of the disease, however the impact of the disease often has repercussions on the health of the family to care, leaving psychological sequels. The present study determines the relationship between resilience and coping strategies in relatives with cancer patients, as well as identifies the predominant factors and dimensions, and finally explores the same according to gender. Regarding the methodology, a non-experimental, descriptive and correlational study was carried out. Performing semi-structured interviews with 170 family members from three areas: hospitalization, chemotherapy and outpatient clinic with 6 months of confirmed diagnosis. It was attended by 79 men and 91 women, all with third line consanguinity with the cancer patient, the research was carried out at the Hospital "Dr. Julio Enrique Paredes C. "- SOLCA Oncology Unit, applying the CD - RISC Resilience Scale (Spanish adaptation) and the Coping Strategies Questionnaire (CAE). According to the results: the chi square test determines that there is no relationship between resilience and coping strategies. The most prevalent resilient factors are coping and persistence, overcoming and achieving goals, and positive assessment; within the dimensions of coping strategies are: positive reevaluation, avoidance and search for social support. The masculine gender is predominant in both resilient factors and coping strategies
