Item Implementación de un servidor de respaldos basado en tecnología Open Source para mejorar el nivel de seguridad pasiva de la empresa Gala Importaciones(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales e Informáticos, 2025-02) Caiza Cali Richard Fabricio; Guevara Aulestia David OmarIn the field of information security, it is important to have efficient backup systems to protect relevant company information. “GALA IMPORTACIONES is currently facing challenges regarding the security of its information due to system failures and the lack of a backup system. Thus, in order to improve this aspect, the need to implement a backup server based on Open Source technology was identified, which will improve passive security and optimize the company's data management. Thus, this work shows the selection of the best Open Source tool according to the requirements of the company in terms of optimizing the use of resources, reducing backup times and improving the quality of information protection; and its consequent implementation and analysis of the tests performed. In addition, it was determined that the implementation of a passive security system, along with data integrity verification mechanisms, is essential to ensure that the company's critical information remains protected and accessible at all times. This system not only guarantees data availability in the event of a restoration but also allows for the combination of backup strategies, such as full and incremental backups, tailored to the specific needs of each department. In this way, a balance is achieved between resource efficiency and robust information protection, ensuring that backup processes are both agile and reliable. Carrera de Ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales e Informáticos, 2024-08) Ruilova Romero, Rosana Emperatriz; Buenaño Valencia, Edwin HernandoThe purpose of this research project is to conduct a vulnerability analysis on the servers of the Financial Department of Empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A., which will allow for the mitigation of risks associated with the loss or leakage of information. For the development of the project, the Deming Cycle, also known as PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), is used. This methodology ensures effective management and continuous improvement of the research. By complementing the Deming Cycle with the specific phases of pentesting, systematic control of each stage is guaranteed, namely: Reconnaissance, Vulnerability Analysis, Exploitation, Privilege Escalation, and Reporting. The integration of the PDCA methodology with the phases of a pentesting project guarantees efficient management, oriented towards continuous improvement and the protection of the Financial Department's IT systems. With the development of the research, IT security improvements will be implemented on the Financial Department's servers, mitigating risks to services and ensuring the availability of information. This research allows for the identification and correction of critical vulnerabilities, which contributes to maintaining a more secure IT infrastructure. Ecuador joins this commercial world as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is in this virtual commerce boom that companies like Hammer Shop are looking for a way to integrate into this technology through virtual stores, but without yet being able to position themselves in the market because it does not have SEO planning in search engines. The objective of the research work is to improve the positioning on the website of the Hammer Shop company, for which an SEO plan has been designed applied to WordPress with WooCommerce, in order to interpret the search intention of potential customers on the Internet and offer them solutions tailored to your needs, for which it has been possible to establish objectives aligned with the strategic planning of the business and the general marketing plan, as well as defining, creating and structuring content according to the expectations and needs of the target audience The research was developed under a descriptive methodology, with a mixed qualitative-quantitative approach; The survey technique was also used through the application of a questionnaire in order to determine the convenience in the implementation and projection of SEO planning in the Hammer Shop company. Initially, the information, structure and resources of the website were analyzed, and then went on to design the SEO plan focused on correcting the flaws found. Subsequently, the changes were implemented both in the same virtual store and in the Google Search Console software tool. which indexes the web pages of the virtual store to show it to potential customers. Healthcare, as a critical global industry, must integrate these new technologies to offer enhanced automated services and ensure secure information management. Therefore, adopting digital medical records to effectively register and monitor vital patient information is crucial. The aim of this research project is to develop a web application focused on addressing the challenges posed by paper-based management of dental records and appointments. This includes scheduling appointments, managing patients, users, and dentists. This system aims to streamline the search process for patient records and their associated information. Additionally, it organizes dental appointments to prevent scheduling conflicts and reduce waiting times at the establishment. The methodology employed in the project combined the strengths of Agile RAD methodology, facilitating continuous software deliveries to the client for ongoing user feedback, with Kanban's user story advantages for task execution across phases: backlog, in progress, and completed. Iterations were assigned with corresponding tasks, covering interface design, database development, and application implementation. The objective of this research work was: To apply a Business Intelligence model for decision making in the sales area, applying the Zoho Analytics platform for Holviplas S.A. company. The methodology that followed the research is conformed by a documentary research, based on the review of secondary information of industries that have used BI in their processes, while the field research suggests the collection of primary information, through the defined instruments: Process check sheet, benchmarking and interview to the sales personnel and area manager. The study population is made up of 4 collaborators, who were responsible for providing the information required for the elaboration of the solution proposal. The results show the lack of a software to manage sales in a standardized way, being Excel the most used program by the sales force, however, the limitations of the program are emphasized in terms of long time to keep the account of a single customer, lack of sales tracking tools, does not allow maintaining information on competition, prices, or numerous databases. It was possible to establish that by means of a BI model, the use of scientific tools and techniques for data analysis and trend forecasting, for this purpose, Zoho Analytics was implemented, using ETL methodology, the software consists of the following panels: net sales-analysis, profit-analysis and net sales-profit. The agile XP methodology was chosen for its ability to facilitate continuous communication and feedback with users, enhancing each project iteration. The need to modernize and optimize the currently inefficient and costly automotive loan quotation processes drove the development of this system. The primary objective of this project is to automate and improve manual quotation processes, significantly reducing time and operational costs. The implementation of Oracle Cloud and Oracle APEX provides a scalable solution accessible from any device, eliminating reliance on traditional infrastructures. The XP methodology, with its iterative and collaborative approach, enabled the development of a robust system tailored to the specific needs of UNINOVA S.A. The developed system includes modules for data management, report generation, and control panels, enhancing operational efficiency and user experience. Oracle Cloud ensures high performance and data security, while Oracle APEX facilitates agile and efficient web application development. This adoption has significantly improved customer service, reduced operating costs, and increased efficiency in stock management and control. Effective control within warehouses is essential for maintaining industry leadership, enabling informed and strategic decisions that foster the growth and competitiveness of the organization. The purpose of this project is to develop a Progressive Web Application (PWA) using the Blazor framework for inventory control and product sales in the "Mundial de Lujos" warehouse in the city of Ambato. This initiative addresses the current deficiencies in identifying and managing inventory control and sales processes. The implementation of the PWA will not only optimize these identification processes but also enhance the efficiency of required processes, allowing for better management of warehouse operations. The development of the PWA will employ the Blazor framework, using C# as the programming language. This approach ensures the effective development of the project's functionalities. Additionally, SQL Server will be utilized as the database and Windows Server for the application's hosting and management. The applied methodology will be XP, providing adequate control over the activities developed in the proposal. An IT contingency plan mitigates risks in the event of threats or disasters, maintaining crucial business operations' continuity during incidents until systems and services are fully restored. Vital information must be protected to prevent leaks, alteration, or unavailability. This research project proposes designing an IT Contingency Plan based on the latest 2022 version of the international standard ISO 27001 for Empresa Pública Gestión Integral de Desechos Sólidos de Ambato (EPM-GIDSA). It will analyze threats and vulnerabilities of its most critical IT assets. Effective control within organizations enables them to maintain leadership in their industry and make informed decisions. The project's purpose is to create a progressive web application that facilitates the determination of production costs for stone materials at "ALVARADO ORTIZ CONSTRUCTORES" in Ambato. This is due to a deficient identification in obtaining these costs. The implementation of the progressive web application has not only optimized the identification of these costs but has also improved the processing times required to determine them, allowing efficient production management. For the development of the progressive web application, the Open Source Angular framework was employed, using TypeScript as the programming language. This implementation effectively facilitated the development of functionalities in the project. Additionally, the ASP.NET Core framework was used as the backend, enabling proper handling of HTTP request traffic. SQL Server was chosen as the database. The objective of this research project is to design a mobile application for contacting and hiring lawyers within the city of Ambato through the use of agile Mobile – D technology focused on the functionality of the applications based on documentation and direct interaction. with the client. In addition, the open source MYSQL database, easy to understand for the user, adapted to their needs, was used to store the information. And, for data collection, two instruments were applied (interview and survey) aimed at professionals within the city of Ambato in order to know the need to be hired by citizens. In this way, it was possible to develop the multiplatform mobile application for the process of contacting and hiring lawyers with a user-friendly infrastructure.
