    The present investigation was carried a seismic-resistant analysis in a residential building and irregular of 5 stories in steel structure. To start the project,was carried out a static and dynamic analysis. In this process several HEB columns and beams of the IPE type were placed, until the structure will present a good seismic response, with the data obtained from the software Etabs 2016 proceeded to design the 2 precise connections "BFP" and "RBS" guided by the Ecuadorian regulations NEC_SE_AC 16 and the Americans AISC 358-10 and FEMA 350. The two connections met the various prequalification requirements, developing the plastic hinges at the expected locations. The same Etabs 2016 data were compiled and introduced in structural software specializing in metallic connections, which gave valid results; With the difference that each plate had a requirement that exceeded the design tolerance limits. In turn, since the Etabs 2016 software has the option of designing the reduced beam section (RBS) beam connection, the operation of this connection was executed. The results of the connection had an adequate behavior, developing a great ductility in beams.

    Análisis comparativo utilizando el método tiempo – historia con el espectrograma del sismo el centro y la Norma Ecuatoriana de la Construcción NEC 2015

    In the initial part of the research project has released the theoretical part on the basic concepts such as earthquakes, ways of measuring earthquakes, types of structural analysis and details on the data spectrogram, in order to understand the purpose of this work. So this paper poses the link information comparing the Design Based on Forces (DBF) of the Ecuadorian Standard Construction (NEC) 2015 and Dynamic Analysis Linear Time-History (ADLT-H), which is of great useful in research and application of Civil Engineering. Specifically it made the DBF of a 9-storey building in the city of Ambato, previously performed the manual calculated the pre-dimensioning of all structural elements based on ACI 318-14 static charges. For live loads, vibration period, were based design spectrum to the current standard NEC 2015. The same structure stabilized by the NEC DBF 2015, an ADLT-H is performed including the earthquake spectrogram "The Center" spectrogram data is corrected provided the Teaching Ing. Mg Jorge Cevallos C. W. specialized area Structures. By comparative analysis of DBF and ADLT-H, they will be collated numerically and graphically seismic coefficient, periods of vibration of the structure, horizontal displacements, derived from P-floors and Delta effects. This type of research is of great importance and provides insight into the dynamic behavior of the structures and designing earthquake resistant structures with real earthquakes.
