Item “Determinación de pruebas de función hepática y su relación con el daño hepático en pacientes con tratamiento antituberculoso”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Laboratorio Clínico, 2017-04-01) Moreano Sinchiguano, Evelyn Tatiana; Acosta Morales, José Iván Dr.This project was performed at Health Centers belonging to the “Distrital Latacunga - Zona 3 Salud” and Clinical Laboratory “Acosen”, whose main objective was to determine the liver function and relate it with liver damage in patients with tuberculosis treatment. To select the study population the medical records were reviewed and it was worked with a population of 30 patients, 8 female and 22 male which were selected by the inclusion and exclusion criteria, population aged 25 to 85. Liver function tests was performed to 30 patients with tuberculosis treatment to obtain quantitative results, which revealed that in liver function tests, the most of the population had levels within the normal range, however, there were 8 patients (26.7%) with TGO, 6 patients (20.0%) with TGP, 9 patients (30.0%) with alkaline phosphatase and 7 patients (23.3%) with elevated values prothrombin time. It is concluded that there is no elevated liver damage in patients with antituberculosis treatment due to a small part of 100% of the population showed liver function tests with high values. The present research project had the objective of determining the immediate transfusion reactions, through the Coombs test in patients attended by the Transfusion Medicine Service the General Teaching Hospital Ambato, in order to see the importance of the rational and conscious use of transfusions taking into account the complexity of adverse reactions that may occur. As for the methodology, the qualitative approach is specified, it analyzes the basic modality of the research, the level of research, the operationalization of the variables (V. Independent-V Dependent) and research techniques. We worked with 111 patients who were transfused from February 20 to April 20, 2017, added by inclusion and exclusion criteria. According to the results, there was a higher percentage of transfused women, which was 56% while men were 44%. Eight percent of the patients had immediate transfusion reactions, being mild and severe. Statistically, a significance of 0.045 was obtained, which was lower than 0.05. Therefore, it allowed me to reject the null hypothesis and thus to accept the alternative hypothesis. Therefore, it was concluded that the patients treated by the Transfusion Medicine Service presented Immediate Transfusion Reactions.
