Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-09-26) Guamanquispe Guaillaguaman, Jefferson Omar; Sánchez Sailema, Érika CatalinaIn this integrative project, the development of clothing redesigns based on the reuse of garments is disclosed, this proposal was raised due to the increase in environmental pollution generated by the disposal of single-use garments and garments discarded by different causes that are accumulated in the Don Bosco Project Foundation due to the fact that the sizes did not meet the needs of young people between 14 and 17 years old The methodology that is used for the execution of the project is the Integrated Generalizing Design Methodology developed by Víctor Papanek, The methodology allows creating designs that cover economic, psychological, Social needs, for this reason it is raised from the social and economic problems, the reuse of second-hand clothing in order to extend the useful life of garments to reduce environmental pollution. The project allows contributing with clothing that meets the needs of the adolescents who attend the foundation, by using recycled garment textiles, a different textile can be constructed through various patchword techniques that will later be used to make garments. This project reveals the importance of textile and clothing design professionals in contributing and providing solutions to environmental and social problems caused by discarded garments, in addition to showing design options with recycled garment materials, in this case the reuse of garments accumulated in the Don Bosco Project foundation in order to redesign garments that meet the needs of young people and that serve as an economic income from the commercialization of the new garments.
