The purpose of this thesis project is to design a quilted urban apparel collection using
alternative materials with a sustainable approach. The research focuses on the
identification and application of materials that are not only functional and aesthetically
appealing, but also offer an ecological alternative to traditional methods. Through a
process of experimentation and analysis of alternative textiles, garments incorporating
innovative quilting are developed, evaluating their performance in terms of comfort,
durability, and sustainability.
The collection is aimed at a young audience aware of the importance of ethical and
sustainable fashion. It seeks to contribute to the advancement of the textile industry
through the use of technologies and practices that promote a reduction in environmental
impact while meeting the demands of the modern consumer.
