Item Las construcciones andinas y el turismo rural en el cantón Tisaleo(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Turismo, 2025-07-04) Vega Martínez Daniel Alejandro; Melo Fiallos Diego Fernando; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de TurismoThis research aimed to revalorize Andean vernacular constructios in Tisaleo cantón and boost rural tourism through a proposal for interior design tailored for tourist lodging, carefully maintaining the external facade to preserve its heritage value. Additionally, a digital illustrative and informative brochure was developed to document and disseminate the cultural and historical significance of these buildings, fostering awareness, promoting their conservation, and attracting an audience interested in Andean heritage and traditions, thereby contributing to the sustainable socioeconomic development of the community. The study employed a qualitative methodology, drawing upon a comprehensive review of existing literature and theoretical frameworks such as the Ontological Turn and Valene Smithˋs Tourism Typology. Data triangulation, primarily from expert interviews, revealed that while vernacular architecture holds significant potential as a rural tourism attraction due to its unique construction with adobe, rammed earth, and wattle and daub, its precarious state of conservation exacerbated by neglect, climatic factors, and a lack of preservations policies limits its full utilization. A notable loss of ancestral constructions knowledge, crucial for authentic rehabilitation, was also identified. The conclusions underscore the urgent need for integrated strategies that promote both conservation and dissemination. The proposed solution, focusing on adapting interiors for tourist accommodation and creating a digital brochure, offers a practical and symbiotic approach to revalorize this rich heritage and revitalize rural tourism in Tisaleo.Item El arte urbano y el entorno turístico de la ciudad de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Turismo, 2025-01-20) Chicaiza Gordón Karen Brigitte; Viteri Toro Maria Fernanda; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de TurismoThis study aims to analyze the impact of urban art on the tourist environment of the city of Ambato, specifically through its murals. It seeks to explore how these artistic expressions affect the perception of tourists and the local community, in addition to evaluating their influence on the development of tourism in the city. The importance of this research lies in the potential of urban art as a tool for the revaluation of urban spaces, promoting the cultural identity and tourist attractiveness of Ambato. The methodology used includes a qualitative approach through direct observation, interviews with key actors in the tourism sector, and the analysis of representative murals located in various areas of the city. It was complemented with a mapping of the murals and the creation of tourist environment files for each work. The results indicate that urban art contributes to strengthening local identity, generates a new tourist attraction and encourages positive interaction between tourists and inhabitants. The conclusions highlight the importance of integrating urban art into the city's tourism promotion strategies, as well as the need to promote its preservation and valorization as part of the cultural heritage of Ambato, achieving a balance between modernity and tradition.
