Item La educación ambiental y el senderismo en el cerro Teligote, cantón Pelileo(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Turismo, 2025-07-04) Guamanquispe Guaillaguaman Jennifer Alexandra; González Sánchez Angélica María; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de TurismoThe Teligote hill is considered a protective forest located in the community of the same name, belonging to the Pelileo cantón in the province of Tungurahua. This hill contains 200 hectares of primary forest that harbors a rich biodiversity and represents an ideal environment for native species found on the site. Thus, the following research aims to investigate environmental education and hiking in the Teligote hill. The importance of this research lies in raising awareness among people who practice hiking and visit the site. A qualitative approach methodology was used, using an observation sheet and aninterview, focused on environmental education, observation of people's behavior and hiking, in addition to a non-experimental cross-sectional design and two types of nonstatistical sampling by judgment and by convenience. The results determined that environmental education does have an influence on the people who go hiking, since the visitors demonstrate low environmental responsibility and inadequate waste management at the site. Finally, the research contributed to the implementation of an environmental awareness and responsible hiking campaign for all people, especially adolescents, young people and adults between the ages of 12 and 59, highlighting the natural wealth of Teligote hill and the importance of its conservation. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to use a methodology that allowed for the study of the nature of the variables. It had a mixed approach, following a deductive method and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The scope of the research corresponds to a case study, as the research was carried out specifically on the Mundug waterfall section of the Kuri Pishku Route. The instrument applied for the independent variable, called tourist facilities, was a qualitative observation form following the criteria of the Ministry of Tourism, describing materials, location, administration, universal accessibility, and the state in which they are found. The results of the research determined that the existing tourist facilities in the area are in fair condition. For the dependent variable, a Likert scale survey was applied with two information questions and sixteen items, four for each dimension of environmental awareness (cognitive, affective, conative, and active). The responses of the visitors surveyed show shortcomings in some of the dimensions investigated. In conclusion, the tourist facilities along the route must be improved to enhance the visitor experience, and strategies must be implemented to strengthen their level of environmental awareness.Item La Animación Turística y Ética ambiental en la Zona Pasiva del Parque Provincial de la Familia, Cantón Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Turismo, 2025-01-20) Mayorga Chávez Alexis Francisco; Armas Arias Sonia Paola; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de TurismoThe research focuses on the study of tourism animation and environmental ethics in the Passive Zone of the Provincial Family Park, Ambato Canton, with the aim of identifying strategies to promote responsible recreational practices. The methodology employed a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Structured surveys and observation sheets were used to collect information, enabling the evaluation of the impact of educational activities, such as workshops and talks, which stood out for enhancing ecological commitment and visitors’ environmental awareness. From the perspective of environmentalism, these activities aim to minimize human impact on ecosystems, while the holistic approach highlights the importance of the interconnection between recreational activities and ecological, social, and economic well-being. The interactive experiences generated through these activities emotionally connect visitors with nature, fostering long-term sustainable behaviors. To maximize their effectiveness, careful planning, the availability of adequate resources, and the training of park staff are essential. Additionally, the use of innovative technologies, such as QR codes, facilitates access to educational information, promoting continuous and responsible interaction with the environment. This comprehensive approach positions the park as a model of responsible recreation and environmental education in the region.
