This research sought to explore tourist facilities and environmental awareness on the Kuri Pishku Route, Mundug waterfall trail. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to use a methodology that allowed for the study of the nature of the variables. It had a mixed approach, following a deductive method and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The scope of the research corresponds to a case study, as the research was carried out specifically on the Mundug waterfall section of the Kuri Pishku Route. The instrument applied for the independent variable, called tourist facilities, was a qualitative observation form following the criteria of the Ministry of Tourism, describing materials, location, administration, universal accessibility, and the state in which they are found. The results of the research determined that the existing tourist facilities in the area are in fair condition. For the dependent variable, a Likert scale survey was applied with two information questions and sixteen items, four for each dimension of environmental awareness (cognitive, affective, conative, and active). The responses of the visitors surveyed show shortcomings in some of the dimensions investigated. In conclusion, the tourist facilities along the route must be improved to enhance the visitor experience, and strategies must be implemented to strengthen their level of environmental awareness.
