    Narrativas, representaciones y crítica del capitalismo en la serie televisiva “El Juego del Calamar

    This study focuses on analyzing the narratives, representations and critiques of capitalism present in the Netflix series "The Squid Game" (2021). In a context where capitalism has found in cultural industries, such as streaming platforms, an effective way to expand globally, this research proposes to understand the messages that the series transmits through its dialogues and images and how they present " The Squid Game" as a space not only for entertainment for those who watch it, but also criticizes the dynamics of contemporary capitalism, since the series reveals how the economic system subjects individuals to situations where they are dehumanized, turning them into pawns. In a sinister game, it also allows audiovisual productions to be approached as a reflection on the social and economic sphere that they present daily. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach to examine the capitalist discourses present in the series, which is based on a theoretical and practical analysis, where undergraduate and graduate theses were used as a reference point, as well as an exhaustive bibliographic review that provides the theoretical framework. necessary with authors such as César Bolaños, Omar Rincón, Guy Debord and Jesús Martín-Barbero, who are fundamental in the methodological construction, since they provide criticism of capitalism that enriches the understanding of the dynamics represented in the series. The discourse analysis in "The Squid Game" focuses on understanding how the series addresses the crises of capitalism at an individual and collective level. With this approach, the actions of the characters and events can be interpreted within the contemporary global socioeconomic context to thus being able to contribute to the understanding of how contemporary audiovisual narratives can function as tools for social criticism and reflection on the economic systems that dominate the world

    Podcast, una potente manera de entretener a los jóvenes

    The internet is so wide that it allows to create all kinds of content, every day new ways of entertainment emerge on the web, and the podcast is not left behind because it has come to position itself in the minds of young people, because the topics that can be touched there are very broad, you can listen to it at any time and anywhere, you only need a mobile device to easily access a podcast. The main objective of this research is to analyze the influence of podcasts as a powerful way of entertainment in young people between 19 and 30 years of age, in addition to analyzing the topics that are addressed in the different chapters that are published on various platforms, and the reactions of the audience to them. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach was used, with different methods such as interview, content analysis and survey, which were conducted to producers of podcasts and young people, precisely students of the Communication career of the Technical University of Ambato. The results showed that podcasts are a powerful way to entertain young people since they prefer entertainment podcasts rather than other topics in their free time or boredom, and they would like to participate in the production of a podcast. On the other hand, the producers of the podcasts analyzed deal with topics that are related to youth, such as anecdotes, everyday stories, humor.

    Uso de la plataforma Tik Tok y el aprendizaje en estudiantes de bachillerato durante la pandemia de Covid 19

    ABSTRACT This research will focus on the study of the reasons why young people between 15 and 18 years old, during the covid 19 pandemic, have been attracted to digital platforms, especially TikTok, because it has increased in number of downloads in the last two years and generation Z is the most vulnerable to this type of entertainment. This work will show the changes that have been taking place in this generation Z, where young people are the most connected with technology, social networks and the consumption of entertainment platforms. During the Covid 19 pandemic, society has presented sudden changes in all aspects, however, the accelerated process of adaptation in generations has been evidenced, so it is necessary to know that social networks currently influence development in many cases Of the youngs. Part of the work carried out with this research is knowing a threat, which may not be considered that way, but it significantly influences development if it is not controlled by everyone. Research techniques are also necessary to be able to investigate in depth on the subject, as long as the sources are effective to obtain good conclusions, since social networks increasingly play a fundamental role as an intermediary piece in the interaction.
