    Entre el amor, el poder y el dinero: Las narco novelas

    Due to the great success of telenovela productions with contents related to drug trafficking and prostitution, the general objective of this research work is to theoretically map narco soap operas as an aesthetic and melodramatic discourse of Latin American violence; For this purpose, it is considered as national and international investigative antecedents works of analysis of narco soap operas in relation to various aspects that revolve around their narrative, in addition to theoretically substantiate and conceptualize definitions, bibliographic sources and recent academic articles were used. The methodology used corresponds to a theoretical review from the communication and social sciences of the narco soap opera “Without boobs there is no paradise”; With a critical approach to the melodramatic and aesthetic constructions on the culture of drug trafficking, in such virtue, through a qualitative approach, the author establishes her analysis of the narco-soap opera selected for its content related to drug trafficking and the role of women in this narco-soap opera. It is concluded that the narco soap opera is a fictional representation that in most cases encourages female stereotypes, makes use of inappropriate language and violence, exposing the social, cultural, and political realities of the countries, in the analysis of the novel "Without tits There is no paradise” also identifies an ethical discourse on the consequences of belonging to the world of drug trafficking.
