Item IMPRESIÓN 3D EN FRACTURAS ACETABULARES. There has been a significant increase in the use of motorcycles as a means of transportation among the adult population, specifically in the age range of 30 to 45 years, as a result of which the number of traffic accidents has increased, which can generate high-impact trauma. Currently, surgical treatment for acetabular fractures has incorporated new technologies such as 3D printing that offer innovative possibilities in the planning and execution of surgical treatments. The main objective of this literature review is to expose the benefits of 3D printing in AF patients through scientific articles. We used the methodology based on a literature review that followed the PRISMA protocol guidelines, the inclusion criteria covered publications between 2019 and 2024. 3D printing improves surgical therapy in acetabular fractures by providing more precision in planning, thanks to the previous review of the surgical processes in the preoperative stage (fracture mock-up manipulation), modulation of implants to optimize results and reduce possible complications. However, it still faces barriers such as high costs. In conclusion, 3D printing is a revolutionary and novel tool in the management of acetabular fractures by providing an accurate anatomical representation of the affected structures. Its implementation has significantly optimized surgical planning, allowing a detailed understanding of the affected anatomical structures and reducing the risks associated with the duration and manipulation of tissues during intraoperative procedures.
