Abstract
El presente trabajo investigativo tiene como objetivo investigar el proceso del método
Singapur en el aprendizaje de las Operaciones Básicas con los estudiantes de quinto año de
Educación General Básica de la Unidad Educativa "Bautista" del cantón Ambato. La presente
investigación tuvo un enfoque mixto con aspectos cualitativos y cuantitativos, cuantitativa al
realizarse un pretest y pos-test, se trabajó con este tipo de enfoque para lograr obtener
interpretaciones más completas de los resultados conseguidos. La técnica utilizada fue la
encuesta y el instrumento empleado fue un cuestionario estructurado aplicado a los docentes.
Este cuestionario constó de 13 preguntas diseñadas para reconocer el proceso y el uso del
método Singapur en el aprendizaje de las operaciones básicas. Se incluyó una escala de Likert
cuyas opciones van desde "Siempre" hasta "Nunca"; la información recopilada posteriormente
nos sirvió para realizar tabulaciones de datos. La prueba aplicado a los estudiantes constó de
dos pruebas: un pretest y un post test compuesto por cinco ejercicios matemáticos relacionados
con la suma, resta, multiplicación y división, los cuales se encuentran en los anexos del presente
trabajo de investigación. El pretest se realizó con el propósito de diagnosticar el nivel de
aprendizaje de las operaciones básicas y el pos-test para determinar la relación del método
Singapur en el aprendizaje de las operaciones básicas en la que su promedio fue alcanzan y
dominan los aprendizajes.
Description
The aim of this research work is to investigate the process of the Singapore method in the
learning of Basic Operations with students in the fifth year of General Basic Education at the
"Bautista" Educational Unit in the Ambato canton. The present investigation opted for a mixed
approach with qualitative and quantitative aspects, quantitative by conducting a pre-test and
post-test, it was decided to work with this type of approach in order to obtain more complete
interpretations of the results obtained. The technique used was the survey and the instrument
used was a structured questionnaire applied to teachers, this questionnaire consisted of 13
questions designed to recognise the process and the use of the Singapore method in the learning
of basic operations. A Likert scale was included with options ranging from "Always" to
"Never", and the information collected was used to tabulate the data. The test applied to the
students consisted of two tests: a pre-test and a post-test composed of five mathematical
exercises related to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, which can be found in the
annexes of this research work. The pre-test was carried out with the purpose of diagnosing the
level of learning of the basic operations and the post-test to determine the relationship of the
Singapore method in the learning of the basic operations in which their average was reached
and they mastered the basic operations.
