Abstract
Introduction: Breastfeeding is a biological feeding norm for all mammals, including
human beings; it is essential to achieve the global goals of nutrition, health and
survival. Objective: To identify how breastfeeding influences the growth and
development of early childhood. Method: In 2023 and 2024, the search for available
literature was carried out in the Pubmed, Google Schoolar, Scielo, Digitalia
Hispánica, ScienceDirect, Medigraphic, Dialnet databases, the selection and
subsequent analysis of information was carried out. Results: In total, 40 articles
were chosen, evidencing the lack of knowledge and time as a barrier. Conclusion:
It is important to identify the current nutritional reality experienced by hundreds of
children and thus be able to intervene and implement nutritional education
throughout the life cycle.

Introducción: La lactancia materna es una norma biológica de alimentación de
todos los mamíferos entre los que se incluyen los seres humanos; es indispensable
para alcanzar los objetivos mundiales de nutrición, salud y supervivencia. Objetivo:
Identificar como influye la lactancia materna en el crecimiento y desarrollo de la
primera infancia. Método: En 2023 y 2024 se realizó la búsqueda de literatura
disponible en las bases de datos Pubmed, Google Schoolar, Scielo, Digitalia
Hispánica, ScienceDirect, Medigraphic, Dialnet, se realizó la selección y posterior
análisis de información. Resultados: En total, 40 artículos fueron elegidos
evidenciando como barrera la falta de conocimiento y tiempo. Conclusión: Es
importante identificar la realidad nutricional actual que viven cientos de niños y así
poder intervenir e implementar educación nutricional en todo el ciclo de vida.
