Estudio lumínico en la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Oscus Ltda.

Abstract

The objective of this research project was to conduct a lighting study in the corporate building of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito OSCUS Ltda., because there is no recent record of lighting studies and due to the old infrastructure of the building it was necessary to know the lighting levels to which the employees are exposed. The research modality used follows a qualitative-quantitative approach, since qualitative aspects were considered when determining the current lighting conditions under the parameters mentioned by the Mexican Official Standard NOM-025-STPS-2008, through the application of an area/workstation inspection form in which it was determined that there are 114 work areas subject to study, In the description of the area it was found that both walls and ceilings use light and bright colors, in the general lighting conditions, the most commonly used lighting fixtures in the building are LED tubes and LED sheets, in addition, the type of lighting in 52 areas use only artificial lighting and 62 areas use mixed lighting. It follows a quantitative approach, since measurements of lighting levels were taken with the help of an EXTECH INSTRUMENTS HD-450 luxmeter and as a reference the lighting levels recommended by the Spanish Standard UNE-EN 12464-1:2022, the measurements were compared with the standards and it was determined that 32 work areas do not comply with the minimum levels, in the uniformity factor 47 work areas do not have a good distribution of lighting fixtures and with respect to the reflection factor all work stations are within the permitted level, in contrast to surfaces such as walls that have highly reflective characteristics directly affecting the lighting comfort of employees.
