Abstract
Este proyecto ha descubierto una problemática dentro de la ciudad de Latacunga, y es que sus atractivos turísticos urbanos son muy poco explotados, tales edificaciones que datan de la época colonial y que cada una de ellas se encuentran archivos históricos que cuentan el origen de toda una civilización. Debido a que no se conoce el verdadero valor de este patrimonio se ha ido perdiendo poco a poco a lo largo del tiempo.
En este proyecto específicamente se ha enfocado principalmente en aquellos que pasan más desapercibidos, pero que cuentan con mucha historia, el cuan son las iglesias pues algunas incluso han sido testigos de hechos importantes para la ciudad. Es por ello que se representó estas infraestructuras en 3D para informar a la comunidad de manera didáctica, a través de infografías, posts para redes sociales y folletos, esto con el objetivo de conocer mas sobre la historia de la región y a su vez generar conciencia sobre su valor patrimonial para su preservación.
Se investigó de forma bibliográfica la historia de cada una de las iglesias que forman
parte de este proyecto, y se utilizó la metodología cualitativa, realizando entrevistas a profesionales dentro del área para determinar una mejor respuesta, además del método cuantitativo, esto mediante encuestas para determinar las preferencias de las personas, a su vez que nos ayuda a evidenciar la problemática que se busca solucionar.
Description
This project has uncovered a significant issue within the city of Latacunga: its urban
tourist attractions are vastly underutilized. Among these are colonial-era buildings, each holding historical archives that narrate the origins of an entire civilization. However, due to a lack of awareness about the true value of this heritage, much of it has been gradually lost over time.
This project specifically focuses on those often overlooked yet historically rich sites,
particularly the churches, some of which have borne witness to pivotal events in the city’s history. To highlight their significance, these structures were represented in 3D to inform the community in an engaging manner through infographics, social media posts, and brochures. The aim is to deepen understanding of the region’s history while fostering awareness about the value of its heritage to encourage its preservation.
The history of each church included in this project was explored through bibliographic research. A qualitative methodology was employed, involving interviews with professionals in the field to identify effective approaches. Additionally, a quantitative method was applied through surveys to determine public preferences, which also helped to further reveal the core issue this project seeks to address.
