El método alfabético en la enseñanza de la lectoescritura en los estudiantes de segundo grado de educación general básica de la Unidad Educativa “Mariscal Sucre” del cantón Saquisilí

Abstract
El tema de la investigación es el método alfabético en la enseñanza de la lectoescritura
en los estudiantes de segundo grado de educación general básica de la Unidad
Educativa “Mariscal Sucre” del cantón Saquisilí. La investigación tiene como objetivo
principal determinar la contribución del método alfabético en la enseñanza de la
lectoescritura en los estudiantes de segundo grado de Educación General Básica de la
Unidad Educativa “Mariscal Sucre” del Cantón Saquisilí, El estudio utilizó una
metodología aplicada, con un enfoque mixto cuali-cuantitativo. Además, el nivel de
investigación fue exploratorio y descriptivo, junto con una modalidad de campo y
bibliográfica. De la misma manera, las técnicas utilizadas fueron la observación
directa y la entrevista, de igual forma los instrumentos utilizados estuvieron
comprendidos por la ficha de observación y la guía de entrevista. La población en la
cual se realizó el diagnóstico fueron 29 estudiantes y 1 docente de educación general
básica. No se calculó la muestra debido a que la población fue de un valor manejable
para el proceso de recopilación de datos. Los resultados antes de la aplicación del
método alfabético revelan que los estudiantes tienen un buen nivel de identificación
de letras del alfabeto y formación de palabras simples. Sin embargo, presentan
dificultades en la asociación de sonidos al leer, escritura de palabras sencillas y fluidez
en la lectura. Por otra parte, entre las conclusiones más relevantes se obtuvo que el
método alfabético tiene una contribución significativa en el desarrollo de las
habilidades de lectoescritura en los estudiantes de segundo grado. Los estudiantes que
fueron instruidos utilizando este método mostraron un mayor nivel de comprensión
lectora y habilidades de escritura en comparación con aquellos que no lo utilizaron.
Description
The subject of the research is the alphabetic method in the teaching of reading and
writing in second grade students of general basic education of the "Mariscal Sucre"
Educational Unit of the Saquisili canton. The main objective of this research is to
determine the contribution of the alphabetic method in the teaching of reading and
writing in second grade students of General Basic Education of the "Mariscal Sucre"
Educational Unit of the Saquisili Canton. The study used an applied methodology,
with a mixed quali-quantitative approach. In addition, the level of research was
exploratory and descriptive, together with a field and bibliographic modality. In the
same way, the techniques used were direct observation and interview, as well as the
instruments used were the observation form and the interview guide. The population
in which the diagnosis was carried out was 29 students and 1 teacher of basic general
education. The sample was not calculated because the population was of a manageable
value for the data collection process. The results before the application of the
alphabetic method reveal that the students have a good level of identification of letters
of the alphabet and formation of simple words. However, they present difficulties in
the association of sounds when reading, writing simple words and reading fluency.

a manageable value for the data collection process. On the other hand, among the most
relevant conclusions was that the alphabetic method has a significant contribution in
the development of literacy skills in second grade students. Students who were taught
using this method showed a higher level of reading comprehension and writing skills
compared to those who did not use it.
