| dc.description | Favel Flowers Export is a company belonging to the floricultural sector dedicated to the production and export of summer flowers to Miami-USA, where the effects of climate change are a daily challenge in this sector. This study analyzed the importance of implementing environmental management to minimize, mitigate and reduce environmental aspects in the company. With a quantitative approach the information collected was analyzed statistically, using a deductive method the conclusions were determined, the temporality of the study was transversal, international standards, books, articles and research projects were used to theoretically support the bibliographic information, the variables were not manipulated so it is a non-experimental research, under the modality of field research a survey was applied through a questionnaire to 25 suppliers of the company where data was collected to analyze the correlation between climate change and environmental management. Environmental aspects of the company with a negative impact on the environment were identified, since Favel Flowers Export is responsible for greenhouse gas emissions, including carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrous oxides (CH4), and that the organization's environmental management is purely empirical. Given that the company does not adequately manage environmental aspects, it is recommended that the organization implement an environmental management system (EMS) under ISO 14001:2015, with a focus on continuous improvement and sustainable development. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Favel Flowers Export es una empresa perteneciente al sector florícola que se dedica a la producción y exportación de flor de verano principalmente hacia Miami-Estados Unidos, donde los efectos del cambio climático es un desafío diario en este sector, es así como con esta investigación se analizó la importancia de implementar una gestión ambiental para minimizar, mitigar y reducir aspectos ambientales en la empresa. Con un enfoque cuantitativo se analizó estadísticamente la información recopilada, usando un método deductivo se determinó las conclusiones, la temporalidad del estudio fue transversal, se usó normas internacionales, libros, artículos y proyectos de investigación para sustentar teóricamente la información bibliográfica, no se manipuló las variables por lo cual es una investigación de tipo no experimental, bajo la modalidad de investigación de campo se aplicó una encuesta mediante un cuestionario a 25 proveedores de la empresa donde se levantó datos para analizar la correlación entre cambio climático y la gestión ambiental. Se identifico aspectos ambientales de la empresa con un impacto negativo en el medio ambiente, esto por el hecho de que Favel Flowers Export es responsable de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero, destacando entre ellos el dióxido de carbono (CO2) y óxidos nitrosos (CH4), además que la organización maneja una gestión ambiental netamente empírica. Dado que la empresa no gestiona adecuadamente los aspectos ambientales, se recomienda que la organización implemente un sistema de gestión ambiental (SGA) bajo la normativa ISO 14001:2015, con un enfoque en la mejora continua y el desarrollo sostenible. | |
