La red social facebook en las tareas escolares de los estudiantes del séptimo grado de educación general básica, de la Escuela Fiscal Mixta “José Rubén Tamayo” de la parroquia Amaguaña, cantón Quito, provincia de Pichincha

Abstract
Debido a la época en la que nos encontramos, los jóvenes de esta generación
tienen acceso libre a una conexión más frecuente al internet es por ello que la
presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el tiempo de dedicación a
la red social Facebook y las tareas escolares de los estudiantes del Séptimo Grado
de Educación General Básica de la Escuela fiscal mixta ¨José Rubén Tamayo¨,
de la Parroquia Amaguaña, Cantón Quito, provincia de Pichincha, para ello la
investigación tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo y descriptivo, además se realizó un
análisis bibliográfico y un levantamiento de información de campo, al final las
variables se analizaron mediante el método analítico. Los resultados obtenidos
en la investigación fueron orientados al mal uso de la red social Facebook la cual
incidió en el bajo rendimiento académico de los estudiantes por dedicar mucho
tiempo a esta red social. La conclusión de la investigación refiriéndonos al uso
de la red social Facebook de los estudiantes de séptimo año de Educación
General Básica encuestados, sobre el rendimiento académico se ha demostrado
que existe un mal uso de la red social Facebook, ya que por motivos de la
pandemia cada estudiante tiene acceso continuo al internet en cada uno de sus
hogares con la facilidad de uso de la red social. En los estudiantes del séptimo
grado de Educación general básica, de la escuela fiscal mixta ´´José Rubén
Tamayo´´ de la parroquia Amaguaña, cantón Quito, Provincia de Pichincha, es
altamente importante realizar un seguimiento directo y continuo, por parte de los
docentes de la institución educativa para incentivar a los jóvenes que se den
cuenta que estar mucho tiempo en las redes sociales afectan su rendimiento
académico
Description
Due to the time in which we find ourselves, the young people of this generation
have free access to a more frequent connection to the Internet, which is why the
present research aimed to determine the time of dedication to the social network
Facebook and the school tasks of the students of the Seventh Grade of Basic
General Education of the Mixed Fiscal School ¨José Rubén Tamayo¨, of the
Amaguaña Parish, Cantón Quito, Pichincha province, for this the research had a
quantitative and descriptive approach, in addition a bibliographic analysis and a
field information gathering, at the end the variables were analyzed using the
analytical method. The results obtained in the research were oriented to the
misuse of the social network Facebook, which affected the low academic
performance of the students because they spent a lot of time on this social
network. The conclusion of the research referring to the use of the social network
Facebook of the seventh-year students of General Basic Education surveyed, on
academic performance has shown that there is a misuse of the social network
Facebook, since due to the pandemic each student has continuous access to the
internet in each of their homes with the ease of use of the social network. In the
students of the seventh grade of basic general education, of the mixed fiscal
school ´´José Rubén Tamayo´´ of the Amaguaña parish, Quito canton, Pichincha
province, it is highly important to carry out direct and continuous monitoring by
the teachers of the educational institution to encourage young people to realize
that spending a lot of time on social networks affects their academic
performance.
