Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo establecer la relación del aprendizaje
cooperativo y el desempeño académico de los estudiantes del subnivel de Educación General
Básica Media de la escuela de Educación Básica “Macara” de la ciudad de Ambato. La
investigación es de enfoque cuali-cuantitativo (mixto); cualitativo para la elaboración del marco
teórico y la recolección de información del fenómeno de estudio en el contexto real y
cuantitativo porque se obtuvo datos numéricos para analizar e interpretar los resultados
mediante la utilización de tablas y gráficos estadísticos. La modalidad de estudio es
bibliográfica porque permitió recolectar conceptos y criterios de diferentes autores en fuentes
confiables; y de campo porque se estuvo en contacto directo con los individuos a investigar. El
nivel de investigación es descriptivo porque se caracterizó las variables de estudio para mayor
profundidad. Las técnicas que se utilizaron fueron la encuesta y entrevista con sus respectivos
instrumentos, validados mediante el juicio de expertos; el cuestionario y la guía de entrevista
que fueron aplicados a una población de 44 estudiantes y 3 docentes de EGB media. La línea
de investigación es comunicación, sociedad, cultura y tecnología. De los resultados obtenidos
se evidenció que los estudiantes siempre y casi siempre trabajan en equipos cooperativos donde
tienen la oportunidad de interactuar entre compañeros para la resolución de problemas y la
adquisición de aprendizajes significativos, por lo que posibilita el mejoramiento del desempeño
académico. En relación al rendimiento académico los estudiantes alcanzan los aprendizajes,
pero aun no alcanzan el nivel de dominio.
Description
The objective of this research work is to investigate the relationship between cooperative
learning and the academic performance of students in the Middle Basic General Education
sublevel of the “Macara” Basic Education School in the city of Ambato. The research has a
qualitative-quantitative (mixed), qualitative approach for the development of the theoretical
framework and the collection of information on the study phenomenon in the real and
quantitative context because numerical data was obtained to analyze and interpret the results
through the use of tables. And statistical graphs. The study modality is bibliographic because it
allowed concepts and criteria from different authors to be collected in reliable sources; and in
the field because there was direct contact with the individuals to be investigated. The level of
research is descriptive because the study variables were characterized for greater depth. The
technique used was the survey and interview with their respective instruments, the
questionnaire and the interview guide that was applied to a population of 44 students and 3
teachers of secondary EGB. The line of research is communication, society, culture and
technology. From the results obtained, it was evident that students always and almost always
work in cooperative teams where they have the opportunity to interact with peers to solve
problems and acquire significant learning, which makes it possible to improve academic
performance. In relation to academic performance, students achieve what they have learned,
but they have not yet reached the level of mastery.
