Abstract
Como diseñadores buscamos dar la solución a un problema, en el sector
industrial el equipo de protección es de vital importancia, para esto se procede con la
integración de un traje de seguridad específico en el área de soldadura para la empresa
equipos industriales “Los Andes” ubicados en la Ciudad de Ambato.
Esta investigación tiene como principal beneficio proporcionar una sólida
defensa contra los riesgos laborales, reduciendo la incidencia de accidentes y
garantizando la salud y seguridad de los trabajadores. La disminución de accidentes
laborales se traduce en una mayor continuidad operativa, minimizando interrupciones
y costos asociados. Este enfoque no solo protege a los empleados, sino que también
posiciona a Equipos Industriales Los Andes como un líder innovador y responsable
dentro de la industria, reforzando su competitividad y atractivo en el mercado.
El producto final de esta investigación es un traje de trabajo diseñado
específicamente para la industria de fabricación de cocinas industriales. Este traje
cumple con los más altos estándares de seguridad, proporcionando una defensa sólida
contra los riesgos laborales inherentes a esta actividad. La utilización de textiles
avanzados permite que el traje no solo proteja eficazmente a los trabajadores, sino que
también mejore su comodidad y funcionalidad durante el trabajo.
Con la información que se recopilo de la triangulación de datos, se desarrolló
el proyecto en base a las necesidades encontradas de los trabajadores quienes van a
ocupar el traje de seguridad. Se integro la combinación de textiles y gramajes para un

traje de seguridad que cumpla con los requisitos de los usuarios, dando seguridad y
esto permite un mejor desempeño por parte de los trabajadores.
Description
As designers we seek to provide a solution to a problem, in the industrial sector
protective equipment is of vital importance, for this we proceed with the integration of
a specific safety suit in the welding area for the industrial equipment company "Los
Andes" located in the City of Ambato.
The main benefit of this research is to provide a solid defense against
occupational risks, reducing the incidence of accidents and guaranteeing the health and
safety of workers. The reduction in workplace accidents translates into greater
operational continuity, minimizing interruptions and associated costs. This approach
not only protects employees, but also positions Equipos Industriales Los Andes as an
innovative and responsible leader within the industry, reinforcing its competitiveness
and attractiveness in the market.
The final product of this research is a work suit designed specifically for the
industrial kitchen manufacturing industry. This suit meets the highest safety standards,
providing a solid defense against the occupational risks inherent to this activity. The
use of advanced textiles allows the suit to not only effectively protect workers, but also
improve their comfort and functionality during work.
With the information collected from data triangulation, the project was
developed based on the needs found of the workers who are going to wear the safety
suit. The combination of textiles and weights is integrated for a safety suit that meets

the requirements of the users, providing security and this allows better performance by
workers.
