ACTITUD HACIA LA INVESTIGACIÓN CIENTÍFICA EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DE ENFERMERÍA EN UNA UNIVERSIDAD ECUATORIANA. ESTUDIO TRANSVERSAL DESCRIPTIVO

| dc.description | Introducción: La investigación científica es un proceso sistemático, mediante la cual se pretende generar nuevos conocimientos, mientras que la actitud se define como la predisposición a favor o en contra de un individuo frente a la investigación científica. Objetivo: Analizar la actitud hacia la investigación científica de los estudiantes de la carrera de enfermería de una universidad ecuatoriana. Métodos: Enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental transversal, de alcance descriptivo. La población estuvo conformada de 163 estudiantes, mediante un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia, se obtuvo una muestra total de 151 estudiantes. Se aplicó “escala de actitud hacia la investigación científica” que consta de 4 dimensiones: Falta de voluntad para ayudar a los investigadores, Actitud negativa hacia la investigación, Actitud positiva hacia la investigación y Actitud positiva hacia los investigadores. Resultados: En la primera dimensión, el 39,9% refieren estar en desacuerdo sobre no querer contribuir a la investigación científica creyendo que sus opiniones no se toman en cuenta. En la segunda dimensión, el 45,7% están en desacuerdo al ítem la investigación científica no es interesante porque es poco realista. En la tercera dimensión, el 49,0% indican estar de acuerdo que la investigación está en su área de interés y el 38,4% disfrutan haciendo investigación científica. En la cuarta dimensión, el 51,7% resaltan estar de acuerdo que un científico es una persona honesta, conocedora, productiva, franca y respetuosa con los demás científicos. Conclusiones: Los estudiantes poseen actitud positiva hacia la investigación científica. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Scientific research is a systematic process, through which it is intended to generate new knowledge, while attitude is defined as the predisposition for or against an individual towards scientific research. Objective: To analyze the attitude towards scientific research of nursing students at an Ecuadorian university. Methods: Quantitative approach, non-experimental transversal design, descriptive scope. The population consisted of 163 students, through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling, a total sample of 151 students was obtained. The “Scale of attitude towards scientific research” was applied, which consists of 4 dimensions: Lack of willingness to help researchers, Negative attitude towards research, Positive attitude towards research and Positive attitude towards researchers. Results: In the first dimension, 39.9% report disagreeing about not wanting to contribute to scientific research, believing that their opinions are not taken into account. In the second dimension, 45.7% disagree with the item scientific research is not interesting because it is unrealistic. In the third dimension, 49.0% agree that research is in their area of interest and 38.4% enjoy doing scientific research. In the fourth dimension, 51.7% agree that a scientist is an honest, knowledgeable, productive, frank and respectful person with other scientists.
