| dc.description | Food production in Ecuador represents one of the main economic activities within the manufacturing industry, mainly the meat preservation sector given its role in the food supply chain and its contribution to employment and regional economic development. The objective of this work is to analyze the effect of leverage levels on the profitability of the meat preservation and production sector of meat products and other products from animal slaughter to determine reasonable levels of debt, the study focused on the period from 2015 to 2020, taking 34 companies from the Sierra region in sector C1010.2 as the population to carry out this investigation. To achieve objectives, a descriptive quantitative approach was used where the main leverage indicators of companies in the sector are analyzed, taking as an instrument the financial balances displayed on the official website of the Superintendence of Companies, then through an explanatory level of research, identifies the behavior and evolution of the variables under study, finally a Multiple Linear Regression is applied to obtain results and verify hypotheses. The main indicators used for this study are Asset Debt, Equity Debt, Fixed Asset Debt, Leverage, Financial Leverage, Operating Return on Equity (ROE) and Net Asset Return (ROA). The results obtained through the multiple linear regression model for ROE and ROA show that the debt of the asset is the only one with a significant impact. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La producción de alimentos en Ecuador representa una de las principales actividades económicas dentro de la industria manufacturera, principalmente el sector de conservación de cárnicos dado su rol en la cadena de suministro de alimentos y su contribución al empleo y al desarrollo económico regional. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar el efecto de los niveles de apalancamiento en la rentabilidad del sector de conservación de carnes y elaboración de productos cárnicos y otros productos de la matanza de animales para la determinación de niveles razonables de endeudamiento, el estudio se enfocó en el período de 2015 a 2020 tomando como población para realizar la presente investigación a 34 empresas de la región Sierra del sector C1010.2. Para el cumplimiento de objetivos se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo descriptivo en donde se analizan los principales indicadores de apalancamiento de las empresas del sector tomando como instrumento los balances financieros expuestos en la página oficial de la Superintendencia de Compañías, luego mediante un nivel de investigación explicativo se identifica el comportamiento y evolución de las variables en estudio, finalmente se aplica una Regresión lineal Múltiple para la obtención de resultados y comprobación de hipótesis. | es_ES |
