Automatización de procesos administrativos en el Consultorio Médico Fetalis Ambato mediante un sistema web

Abstract

The administrative processes performed manually in medical centers represent an important limitation in the management of clinical information. In the Fetalis Ambato medical office, this situation affected the quality of the service provided and hindered the traceability of clinical risks. In order to solve this problem, the general objective was to automate the administrative processes of the Fetalis Ambato medical office through the development of a web-based system. This solution would allow centralizing the management of patients, professionals, medical appointments and clinical history, thus improving care and information management. The applied methodology was based on an agile development approach, specifically XP. A requirement gathering was carried out through interviews using the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2018 standard and functionality analysis of the healthcare flow. Subsequently, a system was designed and implemented using technologies such as: Angular on the frontend, Node.js with Express and TypeScript on the backend, and PostgreSQL as database manager. The system developed includes modules for users, patients, physicians, appointments, medical history, medications, ICD-10 codes, specialties, services and supplies. Its implementation made it possible to automate the internal processes of the clinic, facilitating secure and orderly access to information, reducing the search for information and strengthening the clinic's management.
