Abstract
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la incidencia del rol de la
familia en el desempeño académico en los estudiantes de Educación General Básica
de la Unidad Educativa “Nueva Esperanza”, del cantón Ambato”. La metodología
utilizada fue de enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo; la modalidad que se aplicó fue
bibliográfica y documental, porque se recopiló información de varias fuentes y de
campo porque se obtuvo información directa de los discentes. La investigación fue
exploratorio y descriptivo; además para la obtención de información se aplicó la
técnica de la encuesta dirigida a 70 estudiantes de Educación General Básica Media y
Superior de la Unidad Educativa “Nueva Esperanza”, seguidamente se realizó la
respectiva tabulación, análisis, interpretación y discusión de los resultados obtenidos.
Así mismo, se rigió a la línea de investigación del comportamiento social y educación.
El resultado más relevante es que los padres de familia apoyan a sus representados en
las distintas activadas académicas mismos que se reflejan en las calificaciones
escolares. Las conclusiones evidencian que el rol de la familia es fundamental en el
proceso educativo de sus hijos/as, debido a que son quienes motivan a cumplir con sus
actividades escolares correctamente y en el tiempo establecido llegando así alcanzar
un buen desempeño académico.
Description
The objective of this research is to determine the incidence of the role of the family in
the academic performance of the students of General Basic Education of the "Nueva
Esperanza" Educational Unit of the Ambato canton. The methodology used was
qualitative and quantitative approach; the modality applied was bibliographic and
documentary, because information was collected from various sources and field
because direct information was obtained from the students. The research was
exploratory and descriptive; in addition, in order to obtain information, the survey
technique was applied to 70 students of the "Nueva Esperanza" Educational Unit,
followed by the respective tabulation, analysis, interpretation and discussion of the
results obtained. Likewise, it followed the research line of social behavior and
education. The most relevant result is that parents support their children in the different
academic activities, which are reflected in the school grades. The conclusions show
that the role of the family is fundamental in the educational process of their children,
since they are the ones who motivate them to fulfill their school activities correctly
and on time, thus achieving a good academic performance.
