| Abstract: | The lack of adequate and efficient solutions for the treatment and final disposal of hazardous and special waste generated in the retreading industry enhances the increase in risk and possible contamination of the environment. For this reason, the objective of the research is to design an Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001:2015standar for the company CauchoSierra S.A. The study consists of a field investigation since its purpose is to carry out a diagnosis of the initial situation of the company regarding compliance with the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard. In addition, through the UNE 150008:2008 standard, the identification and evaluation of environmental risk was carried out, with the intention of determining the most critical risk. The results obtained once the checklist has been applied determine that there is 39% compliance with the requirements established in the ISO 14001:2015 standard. Likewise, through the evaluation of environmental risks, it is established that the risk related to the contamination of water and soil due to the generation of hazardous and special waste presents a high risk in the three evaluations environments. Finally, it is concluded that through the implementation of the Environmental Management System, the company reduces the generation of hazardous and special waste between 20 and 25 % in a period of one year. |
| Description: | La inexistencia de soluciones adecuadas y eficientes para el tratamiento y disposición final de los residuos peligrosos y especiales generados en las industria del reencauche potencian el incremento de los riesgos y la posible contaminación del medio ambiente. Por tal motivo, el objetivo de la investigación es diseñar un Sistema de Gestión Ambiental basado en la norma ISO 14001:2015 para la empresa CauchoSierra S.A. El estudio consta de una investigación de campo, pues su finalidad es realizar un diagnóstico de la situación inicial de la empresa acerca del cumplimiento de los requisitos de la norma ISO 14001:2015. Además, mediante la norma UNE 150008:2008 se realizó la identificación y evaluación de riesgos ambientales, con la intención de determinar el riesgo con mayor criticidad. Los resultados obtenidos una vez aplicado la lista de comprobación determinan que existe un 39% de cumplimiento de los requisitos establecidos en la norma ISO 14001:2015. Asimismo, por medio de la evaluación de riesgos ambientales se establece que el riesgo relacionado con la contaminación del agua y suelo por generación de residuos peligrosos y especiales presenta un alto riesgo en los tres entornos de evaluación. Finalmente se concluye que mediante la implementación del Sistema de Gestión Ambiental la empresa reduzca la generación de residuos peligrosos y especiales entre un 20 y 25 % en un periodo de un año. |
